Thanks bro.

I read alot of reviews yesterday, come out with the selection very similar to ur recommended.

1. i7 4770K
2. Asrock Extreme4 Motherboard OR
    GIGABYTE Z87X-UD3H OR (Damn expensive)
    ASUS Z87-PRO
3. RAM wise, might stick to your recommendation speed. Brand wise is OK for me, see which one cheaper.

As for WC, still in review research.
In my mind now got Swiftech H220, Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme and Corsair H100i.
Chew Yongxian May i know where can i get the Swiftech H220? I stay at JB, and will go to Genting from next Friday until Sunday, between i will go to KL Lowyat Plaza to hunt for my rig component, can you tell me which shop carry this WC kit? I download few price list, i only saw C-ZONE carry alot of coolers, but still i couldn't see Swiftech H220.

As for Thermaltake water 3.0 Extreme, price around 399, the performance is better than Swiftech H220 in max fan power, but at the expense of noise. However 3.0 Extreme fan and bump speed can controlled by software (Through internal USB connection), which is attractive too.

For Corsair H100i, the performance is quite similar to Thermaltake water 3 extreme, but the price is higher. Also come with control software.

Casing wise, can i get something decent under RM200? Corsair 350D is overkill IMO. tongue.gif

its one of the best casing i can recommend, mATX size (which means compact) but yet can be fitted with dual fan radiators and comes with great cable management features thumbup.gif

but if you insist,

perhaps these might suit you

Corsair 300R RM299
NZXT Phantom 410 RM350-400

just bear in mind that lower end cases might be unable to be fitted with a dual fan radiator. the ones i suggested above are not bad, despite the pricing

mATX? sweat.gif Dun really need the compactness, it will cook my hardware in long run. Prefer ATX or Full ATX casing.

its no longer about the size that defines the cooling potential

the specifications are as provided
2 front 140mm fans, 1 rear 120mm fan, can be added up to 5 fans total

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/obsidian-seri...cro-atx-pc-case

which means the cooling potential isnt compromised. not to mention as youre using a single card, the airflow will not be obstructed.

Just stick to the Extreme4 mobo. It's good enough. No need to overspend to much like getting the Z87 Pro.

Swiftech H220 you gotta get via Lowyat forum from Cyntrix or any of their resellers like GBros. They hold the swiftech license.

Regarding the Thermaltake, if you don't mind the fan noise then by all means go ahead and get it. But the Swiftech allows future expansion so if you wanna cool your GPU in the future you can expand it. You can also get H220's bigger brother the H320 if you have expansion plans in mind. Not sure if they gave H320 in stock though.

Of course with any AIO you could also replace the fan with quieter or more powerful aftermarket ones.

Casing I suggest you get a nice NZXT Source 210 from Linglong at RM150 or so.

Not sure if the NZXT Source 210 does support 240mm radiators. In fact, I find a number of < RM200 casings do not really have such support.

Can try CM N200, at RM149 but it is limited to micro-ATX. unsure.gif

I think it can support a 240mm or 280mm on top, but that's about it. Which is still pretty good though.

Worse comes to worse he can always get a Cooler Master Nepton 140XL which performs as good as a H100i. biggrin.gif

But the fan on the Nepton 140XL is a tad loud though. tongue.gif And also need to bear in mind that not all casings support 140mm fans on rear/top. Source 210 seems possible to mount on the top side however.

Yeah that's why I said I think the Source can take a 240 or 280 rad on top, so the 140 shouldn't be an issue. But true also, many small cases cant take dual rads on top. Or even 140mm sizes.

I'm assuming he is ready to face the loudness of the Thermaltake 3.0 Extreme so the 140XL should be just fine. biggrin.gif

Sometimes being able to fit certain sized fans does not certainly mean it can mount radiator + fans. There is a difference, especially on small budget casings. Like my old Thermaltake V3, which supposedly clears for a 120mm rear fan, turned it can't even mount a 120mm radiator + fan.

It seems that 210 can't take a 240mm radiator without some improvisations. Not sure about 140mm radiators, my only concern is that it will clash with the motherboard.

I have seen one before and i thought it could fit a 240mm rad. But true, just because it can fit a fan doesn't mean it can fit a rad. sweat.gif

And after reading your article and looking at pictures, I don't thino a top mounted 140mm works as well. The problem with the Nepton is that it's inherently thick. Not sure if it will also face spacing issues for the top.

The rear meanwhile is a different story. I think the case can handle 120mm Rads just fine. However I do suggest getting thicker Rads to handle the 4770K's heat output.

Dunno why he needs so much goddamn RAM, but those vengeance are high profile so i think it'll do fine.

I own a N200. It's a good small case, good ventilation also. I only use simple stock cooler, but I think it can fit 240mm rad in the front.

If you've been to Sri Computer before its the floor above that shop, you will see Gadget life (if i'm not mistaken) as soon as you reach the floor through the escalator. That's viewnet for you. Went there yesterday to buy a hard disk.

In a way yes, but only format the hdd that has the OS on it. If your OS in HDD C:// then just format the C only and the other are safe.
