I refered to the ram list and only found that it states that Crucial Ballistix comes with D9GMH. What about Ballistix Tracer line? Do they confirm come with D9GMH?

Both Crucial Ballistix and Ballistix Tracer are using D9GMH.

It's good, but not as good as Micron D9GMH / D9GKX / D9GCT.

Let's just say it's on the 2nd level. smile.gif

Guys check with you, I am running Corsair Twin2X 6400 (1gbX2) at CL5 @ 472.5mhz (1.9V). I guess the ram is same as its brother running at CL4 (2.1v).

Is it worth it to test this out? Should I run at CL4 400mhz or CL5 472.5mhz? Please advise.

User of Corsair XMS2 Twin RAMS - Need your help
Brows to this topic & I need your feedback
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/593118

Thank you.

***Latest update***
The distributer called & wave the RMA service charges & admit that each twin module pair have different serial number & they only scan 1 unit of the RAM for each pair , that explain why the serial number are not listed in their database.

Happy Ending... thumbup.gif

guys, few quick questions to ask:

for a pair of d9gmh (average class, not top class)

1.) how much voltage needed to do DDR800 @ 4-4-4-x?
2.) how much voltage needed to do DDR1000 @ 5-4-4-x?
3.) how high it can go & amount of juice needed?

i'm currently considering to upgrade to d9gmh from d9dcl, please give some inputs whether it's worth it or not, thanks... smile.gif

my pair of d9dcl can do:
1.) DDR800 @ 4-4-4-8 w/ 2.05v biggrin.gif
2.) DDR850 @ 4-4-4-8 w/ 2.20v sweat.gif
3.) DDR1000 @ 5-4-4-15 w/ 2.20v sad.gif

Definitely the D9GMH will OC higher but in terms of real-world app, it won't be noticeable.

My crucial ballistix DDR2-800:
DDR800 @ 4-4-4-8 @ 1.8v - bootable into windows but never tried stability (because not planning to run so low!!!)
DDR 950mhz @ 4-4-4-4 @ 2.1v (was running 24/7 at this setting before changing to the setting below)
---- note 4-4-4-4 and NOT 4-4-4-8!!! laugh.gif
DDR 1051mhz @ 5-4-4-8 @ 2.1v (was running 24/7 at this setting)

Why not 2.2v? Hehe.... don't want to run so high.....

Now running crucial 10th anni, not as good as my ballistix, probably not a good batch... sad.gif (See my sig)

What mobo? You can google the information or go to their website to check the specs. IINM, a lot of mainstream mobos support DDR2-800 but can OC higher than that.

i buy 10 unit kingston value ram with hynix fp-y5 ddr2 667

according to HERE

it shud hit at least la ddr 2 1000

so in my test bed (see my siggy)

i put 2 unit and set

my memory to (tforce 965pt bios)

533 divider (1:1)
fsb 333 x 9 = 3.0 (my proc can do 3 gig stock volatge)
ram voltage 2.0
timing 55515

so i put 2 set ....
then test with memtest for 5 minute

so far only 2 unit can pass the 5 minute test
another 8 unit straight error

so what went wrong here?
izzit the ram that i bought cannot be overclock at all?
i think i just use normal fsb frequency (333 is their stock speed rite?for ram rated to operate at 667)

the 2 unit that can past the test cannot load into windows at all
and another 8 that did not pass memtest can load into windows but of coz did not pas orthos

i have oni about 1 day Oc experience(borrow my fren tracer)
so easy just set this and that walah 3.2 3.4 gigz
so plz help me
(oredi posted in othe sub forum but no respon icon_question.gif )
