wats the difference between biostar tforce p965 and 965pt?which is best overclocker?

the difference is
the 965pt pcb is based on teh p965 deluxe, which is good
but the p965 pcb is not related to p965 deluxe..
about the overclockablity i think that the 965pt is better than p965
pls check lowyat's intel overclocking database and u can see that someone already clocked their e6300 past 3.5ghz on 965pt which is impressive considering that this is a value mobo..
but the 965pt has been EOL-ed by biostar

Can confirmed the 965PT is better iin OC'in.. I manage to get 3.8GHz on my 965PT with a Q6600 G0 Processor.. for daily use 3.2GHZ on Air cooled with Xigmatek S1283 is really stable.

i hav a e2140 and biostar tforce p965 and corsair vs 1gb ddr2667...i m a nwebie..and dun und many stuff...like divider...so now i wan teachers..anyone plz

sad to say that the build-in Gigabyte LAN for my mobo seems like can't function well now, forced me to buy an external PCI network adapter to attach on my mobo...

stolen from my college..K12..only go back 4 days for raya..

set the divider to ddr400, push the fsb way above 300.
by then push slowly till a clockspeed u desired.

i just noticed..
the liquid electrolitic capacitors on my board is not sanyo like biostar once claimed on their website, but OST which is made by the company named ostor based in taiwan..
so i checked this capacitor at badcaps.net and capacitorlabs.com and found out that OST capacitors are not good..
haha rite now my mobo's age is nearing the 1 year old mark and i have oced it ever since is got it..
wonder how long the capacitors on my mobo will last??
how about you guys, what brand of capacitors are on your tforce boards??

btw, xbox360 mobo have 100% sanyo low esr electrolytic capacitor -> i already checked it when i "bedah" my bro's xbox and wii's mobo uses 100% solid capacitors (try look for screenshot of wii's mobo on the internet)

yeah currently manage to oc... hahahhaa...

400 X 7 = 2.8ghz stable....

tried 3 ghz but not stable , hang after 15 minutes on win xp....

try divider 1:1 vcore 1.45 seems u are using WC should be no problem

wat divider and how??

in bios ill oredi set ratio ram and proc 1:1

try 1.45vcore put the timing 5-5-5-15 vdimm 2.2 with cooler.

maybe it's ur ram..
even me can get 445mhz fsb on stock vcore...
the highest fsb on stock vcore this mobo can do is about 470mhz if im not mistaken

i buy 10 unit kingston value ram with hynix fp-y5 ddr2 667

according to HERE

it shud hit at least la ddr 2 1000

so in my test bed (see my siggy)

i put 2 unit and set

my memory to (tforce 965pt bios)

533 divider (1:1)
fsb 333 x 9 = 3.0 (my proc can do 3 gig stock volatge)
ram voltage 2.0
timing 55515

so i put 2 set ....
then test with memtest for 5 minute

so far only 2 unit can pass the 5 minute test
another 8 unit straight error

so what went wrong here?
izzit the ram that i bought cannot be overclock at all?
i think i just use normal fsb frequency (333 is their stock speed rite?for ram rated to operate at 667)

the 2 unit that can past the test cannot load into windows at all
and another 8 that did not pass memtest can load into windows but of coz did not pas orthos
