how to check wat chips the ram using?
i am using Corsair XMS2 6400 Twin2X 1024A 512mbx2 5-5-5-12T

and i duno how to changed the timing...
how to change the timing latency of the ram?
the default ram timing is set to 5-5-5-18...

i dun think the bios giving me option to change it wor...

I saw those Team Value RAM at C-zone... all of them are D9Gxx by looking at the chips. Should be quite good value. It's like... RM135/GB

D9Dxx are the rectangular ones
D9Gxx are squares (but make sure it has a big brown dot, smaller dots are most probably Elpida or Aeneon)

DDR2 with 2.2V is actually much safer if got active cooling on it.

Didn't had much time yest nite to test it. gonna whack it to 2.4v for some trial run this weekend. After some playing around, it wont boot @ 5-5-5-15, probably i guess the lowest it would go is 5-6-6-15. Who knows, will update by then.

Yeap it's not a gd idea >2.2v, unless for a short time of benching. 2.2v is da limit for 24/7.

1.i oc to ddr2 ram to 417(834) with vdmim v1.95 .
2. vdmim v1.95 will damage my ram or reduce my ram life ?

i ran 2 superPI.. faster result if anything not stable..
orthos sometimes must wait 5 minutes to catch errors..

to me, 24 hours orthos should justified the stability of the system at that particular.
I don't believe few minutes SuperPI equal to 24 hours orthos torturing test.
By then, can consider OCCT as well.

btw, what mobo are u using?

Crucial ballistix rams (with D9GMH) are warrantied up to 2.2v. Even their reference vdimm is 2.2v. I'm not too sure about value rams though but I think their vdimm can to increase to 2.2v without any problems.

Make sure you have ram air coolers to keep the ram modules cool.....

correction..memtest n memset is different software..
make sure u know what it is..

dont talk about warranty, as long is not damage u can still claiming.. once it burn becoz of the oc.. prepare ur money la..

dont suka2 change ur ram timing like tat.. when u change ur ram timing from loosen to tight.. u need to make sure voltage is enuff..

if u doesnt know well ur ram, i suggest to set it from earlier, and do step by step, fail to do so will make ur window cant boot at all..

2.1v without cooling, consider safe.. more than that put ram cooling onto it, experiment urself , no one can help u..

timing 5-5-5-15 with 2.0, sure still can handle..
timing 4-4-4-12 u need to pump more..

using memset just help u to save time to do the correction to get fast in superpi,
but the point is know the right voltage for it..

Then what chips are on Team value ram newest batch? because there is someone selling team value ram and claim that there is micron chips on it.
