which DDR2 800MHz value Rams are best performing? there are the likes like Mushkin, Corsair, Kingston, Adata...all priced around the same range ~RM80.
by the way, is it recommended to get DDR2 800MHz over DDR 667Mhz? using C2D system here. |

QUOTE(skymyxe @ Feb 17 2008, 01:46 PM) Depends on many things. First thing first, check the RAM compatibility with your board. Next, if you want performance Value RAM's, get D9 or ProMOS chipset. These chipsets are well known for their best performance in OCing. thnx for the info, but came too late as i already bought a 1G Aeneon 667Mhz RAM, im able to do 900Mhz. stability wise, it still havent crash so far.I'd recommend to use DDR2 667Mhz. If you manage to get those RAM's with D9 or ProMOS then there's nothing holding you back to reach 800Mhz on your RAM's. You can refer to bryanyeo87's article on why you ain't need more than DDR2 667Mhz. |

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Jul 20 2008, 01:13 AM) Well,it is depend on your luck so..my 960MHz OC for a 667Mhz ram is normal or not? i think i got the bad batch of the aeneon ram after seeing some people do >1000Mhz here. There are value ram with D9GMH which is really rare There are value ram with FPY5 Rev A which is not bad for C5(1200mhz should be doable but suicide lah There are also value ram with promos base chip which is average and should be able to do 1100mhz cl5 And there are crappy one which barely do 800mhz |

any OC for kingston/corsair/apacer/Adata/transcend value RAM? that team value RAM is hard to find, and yours is the D9 chipset is it? lagi hard to find, like extinct liao one. shops used to sell this RAM but the price == 800MHz. got a noob question, a 800Mhz RAM can OC better than a 667Mhz RAM? since 800Mhz can do 5-5-5 timing on 800Mhz @ 1.8V.
