Ello i got 1 question.
My Motherbord supports 1333Mhz FSB (C2Q compatible) But equipted with a Pentium D 3.2GHz so i want to add a DDR2 RAM in it, what is the MAX MHz can i fit in?? 667, 800 or 1066??? i'm looking for a High Performance one... This post has been edited by general_odin: Dec 19 2007, 05:05 PM |

i dont know why....
just got a feeling that 1333Mhz FSB doesn't goes well with 800Mhz RAM i can OC my E8200 to 3.2GHz by using a Kingston Value RAM 667Mhz and after i change to Corsair XMS2 Twin2x 800Mhz C5 I OC to 2.8Ghz system beginning to become not stable already i think the FSB and RAM ratio should be 1:1 or 2:1 then it will be easier to OC and can OC really high and stable .... is it true??? my opinion is, for safe and easy OCing... should use this kind of configuration... FSB:RAM 1333:667 = 2:1 (DDR2) 1066:533 = 2:1 (DDR2) 800:400 = 2:1 (DDR1/DDR2) 1333:1333 = 1:1 (DDR3) 1066:1066 = (DDR2/DDR3) 800:800 = (DDR2) i had tried the 800MHz FSB with 800Mhz RAM (E2200 with Kington Value) it turns out to be SUPERB the respond i got from my comp is much faster than my E8200 with 800Mhz RAM (Corsair XMS) need some one to confirm this.. Thanks Added on March 6, 2008, 4:31 pm QUOTE(scpt @ Mar 6 2008, 02:03 PM) Hmm I'm thinking of getting 2GB high performance ram. Right now I'm using a E8200 with DDR2800 value ram, so far can only reach 3.4GHz. i see you have the same problem with me....Between these 2 models, which is better for oc'ing? Kingston: KHX6400D2LLK2/2GN DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 Corsair: Twin 2X 2048-6400C4DHX DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 same config too.... BUT NEVER GET CORSAIR XMS2 C5 !!!! OC 5% also not stable already This post has been edited by general_odin: Mar 6 2008, 04:31 PM |
