Hi. After giving some consideration and so on, I have make a decision to apply for Maybank Islamic Ikhwan American Express.. I really do want to take Maybankard 2 but I must avoid conventional credit card..

May I know is it possible to get credit card on the same day as application?

Thx.

but you need to pay attention to each card's t&c. for example, hlb wise's >rm50 x 10 times per month to activate 10% cb and aeon watami's minimum rm3k spending per quarter to activate 3% cb. if not, the cb is 0%.

Though it is my favourite card and best/most worthy cash back card IMHO, it is almost impossible to get annual fee waiver for HLB Wise card, at least at the moment.

Just a thought, why not consider maybank ikhwan mastercard instead? In terms of benefit it is better than the amex version, plus mc is more widely accepted.

Or hsbc amanah mpower? Or both(one maybank whether amex or master, one hsbc). At least you get your petrol rebate instead of just points.

FYI, HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i their 5/8% Cash Rebate (with Dining, Groceries, Petrol Weekends spend) is NOT a Permanent Features of the Card... yawn.gif

Hi.. Thank you for your suggestion.. fly126 also give same suggestion early..

5% rebate on petrol and groceries on Friday and Saturday (I need to pump at least twice a week, so this is disadvantage for me and I rarely go out on Saturday).
Treats Points - RM1 for 1 Point (low compare to other options).

May I know if I have both maybank amex and mastercard, can I combine treat points?
