... got to know from the bank that there is no more "tier-type-of-fix-deposit" because central bank instruction ... I guess it the type of fix deposit that give you first month 2%, second month 3% and so on, where a depositor will get an average of % in the whole year ... please clarify yourself with your banks if need more info as this is just information I got to know ... cheers guys ...

This is VERY GOOD acvtion by Bank Negara.... using marketing ploy of big % to "trick" customers.
I find this very Unethical.

Yes, I hate those banks who did this last year. So god damn misleading those who are unaware of the effective rate and other binding terms. How pathetic can they get by advertising the rates by tier with sky high rates, seriously.

I think PB, CIMB and/or HSBC were the biggest culprits!

Was in BR today. Confirmed again that with banker's cheque, FD cert can be obtained on the same day. But with personal cheque have to wait for clearance. I used combination of both so have to wait for the personal cheque clearance to get FD cert. 

Every time I only give banker's checsk to BR, and every time I have to wait for few days
then can get the FD certs.

3 possibilities why Top Goat can get FD cert on the same day:
(1) This depends on the branch, and maybe each branch has their own operation policy, just like OCBC.
(2) BR does not have a standardized policy; in other words, not so professional.
(3) BR knows Top Goat very well since Top Goat is BR's Top Customer

By the way, BR just called me this afternoon and asked me to collect hamper tomorrow.
I will post hamper picture here after I pick-up this hamper.

And RHB bank delivered me a mini hamper by hand via their gift vendor yesterday. And I had to
sign 2 receipts for this hamper.

Knn..put 300k++ also no hamper...  

what's the current "limit" for getting the hampers

This should vary between branches as they would have a limit for number of hampers, total cost, top depositors etc. You know what I mean, right ?

Then I guess should be very difficult to get hamper in KL/PJ since more customers.
