This is the 3rd time I am very pissed off with BR for their lousy service... mad.gif

I requested BR to make monthly interest payment from my 1 year FD to my saving account,
but they did not do it the 3rd time. I called them just now, then BR deposited my first month interest into my saving account within 2 hours, I checked this via iRakyat.

When I placed this 1 year FD last year December, I already mentioned twice to BR to make monthly interest payment to my BR saving account. Why I mentioned twice because when I placed my 5 years FD with BR couple years ago (first case), they also "forgot" to deposit monthly interest, but they rectified it immediately after I complained.

Then 2nd case, when I placed my 3 month FD during last year September, they also did not deposit
monthly interest, but I did not complain because I was thinking it was only a 3 months FD, I could
tolerate without monthly interest for 3 months.

This time (3rd case), I even more frustrated when BR asked me to call and remind them every month to deposit monthly interest to my saving account, because they have to do manually this time. I guess they missed the "timing" to set their system to auto pay monthly interest.

They also asked me to collect sarung ampao from them when I have time, they think I have a lot of free time to go there just to collect sarung ampao.  doh.gif .? If hamper then I will go la...

I believe it is branch related. So far I did not encounter this issue with the monthly credit of interest. Lucky me. tongue.gif

So consequently, I have to call BR every month for 11 months to remind them to deposit
interest into my saving account, this process is wasting my energy, time and money (phone bill)..,
and very troublesome. sad.gif

Since BR has a lot of 2014 diary to give away, they can put down a short note on the
calendar to remind themself to deposit interest manually to my saving account ma..

I fell like they treat me like an alarm clock... sad.gif
They are very unprofessional in doing this way to customer..

But I cannot scold them wor..since I still have 5 years FD there.. sweat.gif

It's TIERED RATE, Say you deposit RM100k, the actual rate is 2.50% instead of 2.85%. Because your first RM26k only earns interest rates from 0.5% 1% and 1.90% only.

QUOTE(RO Player @ Jan 15 2014, 05:46 PM)
tier interest rate..say u got RM 150,000.00

RM1.00 - RM999.99 - 0.50%    ( RM 999.99 * 0.50% = RM        )
    RM1,000.00 - RM4,999.99 - 1.00%  (RM 3,999.99 * 1.00% = RM      )
    RM5,000.00 - RM19,999.99 - 1.90% (RM 14,999.99 * 1.90% = RM      )
    RM20,000.00 - RM99,999.99 - 2.80% (RM 79,999.99 * 2.8% = RM      ) till here is RM99,999.99
  RM100,000.00 - RM499,999.99 - 2.85%  Bal (RM50,000.00 * 2.85% = RM        )
    RM500,000.00 - RM999,999.99- 3.10%
    RM1,000,000.00 and above - 3.38%
Lazy to calc...i think u know what i mean...

Wow, that is puny amount. Money put in FD cannot beat the inflation rate. With GST coming on next year, your FD interest earning vs. buying power even lesser.

Br has silly fleeting policy on interest payment.

paid on same date as FD is the best, easy to track.

after that, changed to no matter which day Fd starts, interest all paid on same day ie 1st.causing lots of confusion when track the payment. now changed back again.

Next is requirement on names in saving account..Last time as long as SA got FD depositor's name, can autocredit. Now need exact same names in same order! If not have to do manual credit.

Finally realised my Jan 2014 interest is lesser than usual, by 0.05 to 0.10%.

Anyone with BR FD 12m or 24m placed in 2012 or 2013, check your interest for this month. Any cut?

FD rate cut by 0.05% recently, but old FD from 2012/13 also kena??

Wah, after reading this, I quickly go and check my FD cert...
It printed on the left bottom as "AKAUN DEPOSIT-i BERJANGKA (IND - MTH)".
I hope it means monthly interest lah. Will check in a month time. sweat.gif
Does yours have any indication like mine?
For the previous FD, the cert looks different, but it does credit interest into my SA on the dot every month. thumbup.gif

I can confirm up to RM2 as that's the amount currently in my MoneyBox. I opened with Rm100 deposit because they gave free water bottle.

confirmed RM1 as that's the amt I always leave in there after withdrawing my monthly FD interest. For for normal savings account , it has to be RM10

Yes, I have "AKAUN DEPOSIT-i BERJANGKA (IND - MTH)" printed on the left bottom
side of my FD cert, but I have 51 in front of it.

It looks like this:
"51 AKAUN DEPOSIT-i BERJANGKA (IND - MTH)"

For my 5 years FD, it is auto pay interest monthly, it printed like this:
82 PEL AM-I (Mubeen =>

I used my same exiting 5 years FD with auto pay interest monthly info to place my 1 year FD,
I did not get auto pay interest monthly for my 1 year FD is because of BR human error.
