QUOTE(Yuanz @ Nov 23 2013, 12:58 PM) http://m.mudah.my/view?q=&ca=8_1_s&e=0&sa=...23460793&imgs=1 I own it.just came across this webpage.. is this bike valuable n its performance? Its worth it to buy? So far it is a folding bike that not looks like a folding bike. Folds (save space) but not that transportable if you want to bring them into lrt during rush hours. Not that light and not that heavy (since it is aluminium). You don't have to buy extra carrier if you plan on bringing the bike onto your car. You can place them inside the car. Everything else is just like Mountain Bikes, in terms of ride and feel. Since it is a full sized bike, upgrade options are plentiful. As per current setup, i didn't upgrade much of the gearing, just adding some 'must have' stuff like blinkers. Note that the default location of the water bottle is just behind your front wheel, I bought an adapter to place it on the handlebar - behind wheel waterbottle will add some other flavor eg dust, sand or mud. What else can i say? Front fork suspension's play is about 10cm or so, will add some comfort to your ride. It is adjustable to lock/unlock. Note that this is not the real Montague Paratrooper. The real Montague will cost you maybe 2k up to 3k? Apart from the chain-fall-off issues (which is common to all bikes - fixed by re-tuned) i didn't have any issues on the bike. |

Great bikes from Dahon! Mini velo can save your energy and go very fast due to the ride quality, just like a normal road bike feel.

QUOTE(2kia @ Nov 26 2013, 06:02 PM) phew, finally have time to check here! I think the shifter cable needs adjustments. Maybe you can twist your barrel adjuster a turn or two. really wanted to ride badly today as it's my off day but injured my thigh yday during futsal btw guys, i recently swapped the neos RD for the Acera one n realized that my chain is skipping every 2 full interval, be it back pedaling or normal riding.. any idea why..? ![]() |
