the folding mechanism seems to be sturdier than montague ...
the montague is american ... and change is taiwanese ...
the folding is a bit troublesome at times ...
*
troublesome is not a problem...
solid it has to be... for off road bashing.... biggrin.gif

this bike is rare, even in taiwan...
great that u can get ur hands on one...

nah, but def thought of getting one in future haha

the cheapest is less than 3k i think, with components worth only half the price compared to if u get a regular HT MTB..

27sp acera groupset with XCR 80mm fork

but i reckon the folding mechanism is better than montague..
*
less than 3k is price in taiwan right??

tht's wht i found... 27K NT$... the model with basic acera...

if can sell in msia less than RM 3k??? biggrin.gif

the hybrid is more expensive cos carbon fork...

38k++ NT$....

can book a holiday to taiwan.. just get the frame sumbat in luggage...
then gamble wit kastam... biggrin.gif

maybe stem isn't the right term.. nvm, i'll post a pic soon

as for now i'll just have to really tighten then QR level for adjusting the height of the handle bar/post n see if it still flexes
*
did u raise it high up?? if so then it is the weak point..
tht is why now dahon don't include this adjustable stem for models in japan...

i saw replacement parts in taobao for these fixed stem, got different height....

Can i use normal industrial grease in place of ceramic grease?

Am trying to get my hands on some for the squeaking sound from my seat post or seat railing
*
ceramic grease are for better heat distribution, good for the bearings...
since there is no moving parts around the seat clamp etc...
normal grease will suffice??

Hi Guys,

Need your help, i'm interested on a java fit but when i called up to TBFS, VAN's or KSH, they don;t have it.

As for GW Bicycle, they do have but the price is not good (close to 1700). Some mandarin forum mentioned they can get in RM1400-1500 range.

Do you guys have any recommendation which shop i can try out?

Thanks
*
Robyn said bought from sri petaling mar...
there minus the ksh got 2 other bike shop, as i know of...
or u can call up every bike shop by referring to the directory at lerun's website..

He was, but only to his friends who were chatting with him there. I came in the rain, stood there for 10 minutes, and they totally ignored me. Didn't even glance at me, and their closed conversation didn't give me any chance.

Never going back there again...

It depends on your quick release lock.  Can it like totally open up?  I know the Verge P18 cannot because the QR mechanism does not allow you to open up.  It just allows enough room for the handlebar to twist, so if I wanted a drop bar, it won't be able to mount.
*
if cannot open up need to put the adapter...it will extend to the front a bit...
very easy one... i cari a photo of that...
