Why would u wan to change to disc brake? Dun think u can change as there isn't much clearance. Not too sure though.

If u wan better braking then jes change to Avid brake which is also a V-brake.

Nah... my BA will last for quite sometime I guess. (cept exploded )
No point keeping one at store room as the rubber might get detroite.
I heard the lifespan about 5,000km which is about 1 years for me.

Sure or not ?I know a lot famous brand with made in taiwan sticker, but frame made in china n ship over to taiwan for installation n called made in taiwan

This is what I heard from the supplier. But still it could be made from china or Taiwan.
Anyway, I dun see any different if made in china or Taiwan. Even Iphone 5s made in china.
How complicated is 6 line geometry that cant be made in china kan?
The problem lies in the company on how strict their quanlity control is.

there is a term for this process...
where the last part is installed in that country and can chop the made in xxx..

bike 99% made n assembled in yyy country, ship to xxx country, install the last part, then qualify to chop made in XXX....

Yah that why I ask, cause I saw some one comparing it n mention china tak boleh pakai .

For me if the brand it quite well known, no matter made in where also should have tighter quality control.
If china mali with unknown china brand, then I will refrain from getting it where they might throw quality out from the window.

Raleigh no longer made in UK.. they mass produce in taiwan or china..

So far, only Brompton is made in UK and they wont be sending to china or taiwan for mass production..

Maxxis Holy roller and big daddy very nice offroad tyre for BMX and can shove into our foldie too. Very rare or none in Msia except imported in from Taobao etc.

Brompton handmade in UK hence expensive. But I see no point of buying a Brompton here except for the compactness and for collectors.

yep agree, depend on the cost you want to put in... you can ask them to make a pair of shoe with rm20 or a rm200 per pair.. it will be as you wish.. rm20 you might get a crap, rm200 you can get good one...

I'm still new in this bike world. I want to buy a folding bike that cost RM1k below. Mostly to ride at road. I like the Hummer 26" because it has big tyre. Is it really worth the money since it is made from china. Really afraid if it is just very lousy.

If not I would consider buying the 20" instead. Maybe Dahon?

It will never go wrong if u wanna get dahon or tern.. drop by to several shops and test out..
