It depends on the usage pattern also. My car travels a lot (averaging 40000km/year) and do a lot of night driving. Of course the lifespan can be shorter but so far 1.5 years and still going strong. My previous Ramcar battery lasts about 1.5 years only under the same usage pattern.

My car is about 3.5 years old and already have 125,000 km on the clock smile.gif

i've bought century marathoner as recommended by you. so far so good. i wanna ask you about the tubing connected to the battery. what is the purpose of the tube? my 'pomen' said it is used to 'buang angin' of the battery. i don't understand much. hoho. mind to explain? is it really necessary? hmm.gif

one more thing guys, my wheels sometimes sound like 'kreeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk'. why oh why? I've checked my brake pad, it seems still in a good condition, like 30% left. my disk also literally no scratches at all. do i need to change the brake pad only? or skim the disk? or worst, change the disk? rclxub.gif icon_question.gif

the vent tube/hole is used to release gas build up within the battery (so it doesn't over pressure when hot/over load and potentially burst/explode)

vent the tube somewhere that doesn't mind sulphuric acid/gas (basically area not prone to corrosion)

ok, now i understand. no wonder OEM battery didn't have this kind of tube as it didn't bring any harm to the engine bay. i guess the vent tube connection is optional. thanks bro. thumbup.gif

I have no vent tube on my battery too. Your mechanic just took an extra effort which is good. As for the sound on the wheels, please check your brake. The rotor surface might have become uneven. You cannot tell with your naked eyes coz the clearance between the brake pads and rotor is very close. Time to change the new rotor n pads brows.gif

If I swap in high compression pistons (1.3), does that mean I can't rev as high as before?

Also what do I need to transplant a cps head to non cps campro? If I have the head and cams, do I need a cps ecu?
