Today I just upgraded to a "new" that comes with custom cooler which covers all the sata ports. I have to remove one of the fans to access to sata port. so basically now I'm forced to use pcie x1 extender and a sata 3.0 pcie x1 card. Do you guys have any brands to recommend me? Prefably 4 ports but 3 is minimum.

QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Oct 10 2013, 07:54 PM) Crucial M500, Plextor M5S, Seagate 600 series are pretty good for price/performance models. Depends on your usage and capacity needed. Is corsair not good enough?

I wanted to take Samsung because got some people said that Samsung's SSD is reliable among the best Because there's no distributor bring in the samsung ssd, anything DOA or defect after months u can only send back to where u buy. The shipping cost and time is u to bear most likely, and how much it will be? depends on location and how dealer deal with u . My suggestion as stated in previous post.

Lol this explanation is a little weird, Corsair do have good SSD such Neutron GTX series. As for price, its just slightly higher or similar as other brand's high performance ssd.

Saw an announcement from a reseller regarding Samsung SSD. Samsung 840 Evo 120gb RM375, 250gb RM610. This is very competitive price with its performance imo. However, still on pending for the warranty issue. Will update as soon as I got the reply .

Just want to ask , do you guys get random blue screen after using SSD? I've been getting it a lot "randomly" after upgrading to SSD. Didn't have it with my previous HDD.
I know it's probably not hardware cause I only upgraded the SSD. Probably not software because it can hang even just at idle.
Using Corsair if i'm not mistaken.

The random freeze / "stuck" happens to my Force 3 previously. But after some tweaking by referring to the guide as first page no prob afterward. Blue screen might be your graphic driver not updated? Try update may solve also. Your SSD is what model ?

QUOTE(sgh141 @ Oct 13 2013, 11:39 AM) Hi,I'm new to this ssd,so I need opinion which 1 is suit me better... Budget is RM600,but the prob is,my motherboard is old 1... It's a P55 chipset board(Maximus 3 Gene).... Please help me to choose....Just want to make sure worth to buy with that amount of money and no regrets later.... And please inbox me where you will prefer to buy it,or any recommended seller..prefer KL location... Thank you.... Forgot to add : I prefer capacity 180GB or more.... As long as your motherboard support SATA (sata III preferably), then no problem. Run W7 or later, since Vista don't support TRIM natively.
