Exynos have problems? I don't think it have problems - except for the sources, which is irrelevant for most users. sweat.gif

Still, Samsung SSDs are one of the best - if not the best SSDs you could buy. icon_idea.gif

really?! ok biggrin.gif

there were so many things happening during the holidays. need to do a little bit of catch-up first. equation's hard drive firmware malware, sim card breach in the us/uk, lenovo's superfish, nvidia's 970 law suits, nvidia's reintroduction of overclock-ability, and samsung's 840 evo new fix.

by the way, samsung always look great during 1st impression but then... hmm.gif

so far my samsung stuff like phone, tv, ram, charger, (still thinking) none of it spoil but the performance really not great as they stated. don't trust those benchmark shit that samsung perform the best among others ssd.

bro just go for crucial BX100 or other cheap one. seriously, samsung is too highly over-rated & recommended by those reviewers icon_idea.gif

i personally avoid toshiba HDD. fyi, only toshiba washing machine can buy & consider one of the best lasting wm.

I should have read before getting it.

Just got myself 840 Evo 500GB.

I tested both diskmark and AS SSD both telling me read & write at 330mb+

I should try using the fix and hopefully it fix it?

That budget is not enough to get a decent ssd.

You can register the ssd with plextor and claim warranty from them.

The problem with 840 evo is the slow read bug when you have old data (at least a few weeks old). New one doesn't show this sign. There might be other issues tht caused the slow reads of your 840 evo.

so far there is no such user reporting in, yet. tbh, for sata ssd and for general use, samsung 850 evo is kind of pricey and you do have a lot of cheaper options these days.

liteon s900. the write speed of s900 is around double of transcend s370. from vr-zone chinese site (http://chinese.vr-zone.com/142755/plextor-m6s-twin-liteon-s900-ssd-start-selling-in-japan-02062015/), s900 is the cheaper option of plextor m6s.
