QUOTE(horns @ Jan 30 2015, 12:27 AM) much higher iops than 120gb; and more space for you . if you are going to use it for more than 3 years, that is. my sata 2 mobo is the bottle neck, i think jus 300mbps iops will be okay for me. as long as i will the difference and most importantly is CHEAP!

For a budget and still need the speed of a SSD like me, I'll go for V300. For the price now at RM190 (120GB), the tag price is good if we are willing to forget about synchronous fiasco happened. Day to day usages comparing to HDD is like a king hehe.

HOT PLUG have to enable in order to AHCI mode? yes it will give you bsod if you simply change like that. for best results, you should set it to ahci and then do a fresh OS install. alternatively i have read that there is a windows registry tweak. i am not sure how it works. google should be able to help you out.

QUOTE(Sadru @ Feb 1 2015, 01:29 AM) hi guys, any recommendation on which 120GB SSD should i get? samsung evo or kingston ? EVO, if you are only limited to these two... However, the EVOs seem to be plagued by the slow read speeds... again. Still, Intel's 530 would be my choice, but if you want something new, then Samsung's newer 850 EVO is an excellent choice.
