modded car = unique, one of a kind creation by you
unmodded car = same as everyone else. SOVIET RUSSIA!!! the statement above stays true if no one else copies your mods. This post has been edited by Rusty Nail: Dec 8 2006, 07:34 PM |

QUOTE(kcng @ Dec 9 2006, 11:24 AM) it is just personal preference. someone may view modding as a hobby and to show off their creativity and personality.for me as long as the modding do not cause harm to other road user, it is fine. if i found it is an eyesore for me, i avoid looking at it. |

You can try this..check out Savoc.net on how to service the throttle body ourselves..just took out mine and it's an eye opener for me.. as the valve is operated by an electrical motor, it's easy just to unplug the connector to take it out... wooh it's a drive by wire design.I plan to spundproof my firewall tomorrow Sunday and first we need to take out the airbox, TB, coolan tank and horns before I could superlon the outer part of the firewall.. the stock ride is actually quiet which makes the engine noise seems louder than usual..the engine at idle is the quiestest and have least vibrations among the cars I'd driven. DIY time..I'll take pics when it's done. |

i only like the rims. other than that - yuck. not my taste. i find it pointless to spend so much time and effort just to mod the looks. however it's the owner's money and time - so i respect that.
i find Savvy looks best with slight mods like the skirts and stuff. too much mods makes a beautified ugly car look ugly again. the $$$ can be used to improve the more important aspects of the car, like ride comfort, driving efficiency, security & safety, ICE.........balblablabla. |

QUOTE(DreMAx @ Dec 17 2006, 12:07 AM) is that 2 questions or the subsequent question is part of the first?anyway i'll answer both ways - to each their own definition of COOL. so i won't go into there. as for the R3 kit - i've considered it but i'm not going to take the R3 kit with the savvy, simply because i don't think spending RM 3.5k spent on the R3 stuff is worth it. i just want some skirtings, they can be acquired for far less than that. the $$$ saved can be used for other stuff. i don't need the R3 springs either while headlamps and muffler can be acquired some place else. |

QUOTE(DreMAx @ Dec 17 2006, 12:02 AM) The mods done is a little too much for a small car like that. QUOTE(DreMAx @ Dec 17 2006, 12:41 AM) pricing if you get from Protonhttp://www.proton.com.my/showroom/savvy/sa...currentButton=8 if you hang around Savoc.net, and even the Garage Sale section of LYN - you'll see that other kits are cheaper. of course, material varies. |
