actually its not the 2007 problem lar.
just that the cars sit in the stockyard too long. sommore at mrr2 dumpsite area so very dirty place.

i also almost took the 2007 model until i see the car in front of me.
inside the car like got rat bit the wires and dig hole on the carpet!

according to the sa, if i booked the 2007 model, and the car is assigned already, then i have no choice but to accept the car. but the pe guys will repair the car until it looks like new.

drive shaft rusted = call proton!

what would be the checklist when collect savvy, besides the normals?
normals- all accessory are in, spare tayar, jack, antenna etc.
abnormals:
1. check the alignment of the bonet. saw some senget ones
2. absolutely no cracks in the windscreen
3. check undercarriage no rust point
4. open the wheelcap (logo) and see rust point there
5. look at doors edges for rustpoints (esp those 2007 stock)
6. alarm is working, and reset-able
7. check the production date! open the bonet, on left side, stamped in white.
8. check for strange m-oil viscocity (2007 problem- become jelly)
9. request for new battery if 2007.
10. look for any water sepage in cabin, again 2007 car problem.

I booked Savvy M-Line, MT (or standard as SA said), 2007 model. I booked 2207 model coz they gave me RM3000 discount. But after reading many post in here, I started to doubt my decision on the 2007 model.

1. Why I get only RM3000 discount when somebody else gets RM6500? Is it because I booked MT version?
2. I am worried about the car's condition since it was left in the yard for long time already.

Can I ask them to fix the problems FOC?(IF there are problems with the car due to being in yard for such a long time)?

Actually, I really like the car. I think it is the best choice in terms of FC.

Added on June 19, 2008, 2:18 pmForgot to tell earlier, for those who want to buy the 2007 model, better go to the branch than dealer. Last week, when I go to 3 different dealers, I was told that no stock or less stock la.Not confirm la.It is bcoz they don't have access to the proton's data on stock n etc.But it's different with the branch (also distributor),they can access the database, hence you know correctly whether there are still stock left or not.

Yes you can ask them to fix any problems for FREE because you are still covered under warranty.

Do join http://savoc.net for tonnes of info for Savvy smile.gif

Yes, you are right about PE branches able to check for stocks via the system.

2007 models still got a lot. now can get the showroom models as well at some dealers.
still, it is best to buy from branch for less problem.

the discount is 6500. u get 3000 because the rest the dealer makan liao. mt and amt the same.

The branch has a database of all the 2007 units scattered around malaysia. so can get them to search for u.

just got my 2007 Savvy AMT- RED few days ago. biggrin.gif

So far so good. Not getting any problem yet. *touchwood * tongue.gif

Performance wise, can consider it quite good for a new car (love the "Manual" mode !! )

I've tested my fren BLM which already clocked 700+ km millage, is abit underpower compare to my Savvy. rclxms.gif

i've also tinted my car + installed the "Brake lock" with windows shock sensor.

i'm a happy man.. biggrin.gif
