Wondering whether RHB can "refuse" to pay cashback since they are legally entitled to change the terms and conditions anytime. They can change the amount of cashback to RM 0

Hi Everyone

The cashback/promotion specialist team of RHB took a few days to investigate my report of non-receipt of E Commerce cashback quarter. They confirmed that the cashback had been credited on 15th August 2023.

I did receive RM 170 cashback on 15th August. I remember that beLIEve also received cashback which matched his/her offline spend. Could RHB have made an error somewhere?

Attached the terms and conditions of 4 campaigns

1) E Commerce Campaign Q1 - think most received cashback without any issues.
2) Everyday_Deals_Campaign Q2 - the cashback was reportedly paid on 15th August. But whether this included e Commerce transactions was not clear.
3) Everyday Deals Q3 - ongoing
4) RHB i Usage Campaign - which offered 10,000 Reward Points per RM 200 online spend - ran from 16th April to 15th August 2023. But my family and I received 602,000 Points each on 4th August before the campaign actually ended.

I wonder whether there have been errors on RHB's side. But since it was the cashback/promotion team of RHB which gave a reply - it could be the Bank's final decision

Any thoughts anyone?

Man what's so difficult to understand.

1. Ecomm Cashback for Q2 2023 is NOT yet paid. RHB CS is bloody useless, they know nothing. Thing is, there might be genuine misunderstanding in RHB, as the T&C for Ecomm and Everyday Cashback has been combined in Q2 2023. If this is the case, then someone in the forun needs to make noise and escalate to higher levels, they might all be clueless at RHB.

2. RHB Loyalty Points usage campaign, the payout on 4th August is just for the first two months of the campaign. The remaining 2 months yet to be paid out.

Exactly what I am thinking. The internal team themselves might be confused, while the level 1 CS are already clueless enough.

Nobody has received a single cent for E-commerce cashback under the Everyday deals Q2 2023 campaign till date.

We really need to make some noise already.

Plot twist : Maybe RHB team pusing pusing act stupid so no need to pay us our cashbacks then can save money lo? 🤣
