Tell them Boost is online merchant and it is not under the exclusion MCC, so it is eligible.
Luckily I did grabpay before and I tell them to refer to my grabpay on last Dec and after that they approved my boost, shopee and grabpay

actually RHB bank not too bad bank.

17th March appeared on RHB Now

Today 19th march received a call from RHB paradigm mall to collect.
Because i know this branch is a credit card center so will be fas

No need to chase what so ever.

They have good CB cards, annual fee free for life, others perk too, give generous limit and etc

No issue with OTP , registration is fast and easy.

RHb not too bad lor. so far so good

I went to branch to collect my VS card and told them I still cannot get OTP. Then the officer checked and said it is already approved by branch and it is strange that I still cannot get OTP. She will help to send it over to HQ for investigation but at least I have her email now and can follow up with her directly.

Nope, it shows it is not registered yet. So, it is RHB issue...

You need to apply for OTP at their branch. Otherwise, try your luck to call the branch and ask for help. My OTP issue was resolved by calling to the branch.

I did mine at the branch, already approved by branch but still not reflected. So, they are checking with one specific team in HQ that deals with OTP matters.

Oh my, today must be a miracle day for me, my call was picked up by CS! She said she saw S2 branch already made a report to HQ today to check my OTP issue. They are working on it. Actually I called because I was worried my OTP for MYR 0.00 was considered as first transaction for RM 25 cash back... I had to pass through that step when I wanted to pay directly with Shopee. CS said that's not considered and asked me not to worry that much.. I was worried because it will affect my first, second and third cash back. Fingers crossed.

RHB-Shell Visa.
It is confirmed, Government-related transactions (eg Cukai Pintu, Income Tax, JPJ etc) are included in monthly spending >RM2500 which gives the best CB % on online/groceries/utilities (5%) and Shell transactions (12%).

Example
Online/Groceries/Utilities: RM1000
Shell: RM417
Government-related: RM1084
CB = RM50+RM50

This CC is more useful than SC JOP now.

confirmed not eligible for Petrol eventhough got "SHELL" description. MCC must match with 5541/5542/5983 (per T&C)

RHB finally activated my OTP last night and I managed to login now. Happy that they even worked on my case at late night. Finally my painful experience with RHB has come to an end. I can enjoy using their cards now.

May I know the max cb for 30% shell?

I just remembered today is 21st and my statement date is 22nd. I still have around 850 to spend to get 5% which I have forgotten. I read back the posts here, it has to be statement date -1. So, which e-wallet that has same transaction and posting date?

bigpay with description "BIGPAY MY-ECOM" because this merchant ID/descriptor is assigned by RHB Bank (acquirer).

since you cant "choose" which merchant ID to be "assigned" for bigpay, it'd be a hit-or-miss.

for me, i've only tried 1x with bigpay, no sample size to advise boost/shopeepay all T+1/T+2 posting.

not exactly accurate, perhaps you can try at your own risk

the merchant ID shown on the OTP could be different from actual name shown after txn is authorized/charged to the card

we can only conclude tat RHB pardigm is very efficient.

but definitely NOT others branch, esp the branch i collect my card at which doesn't call me at all and only call me 2 weeks after i collect my card (>1 month after card approval).

and by having such bad apples branch in your bank with a cust service hotline that is forever NOT answering just simply exhibit the standard of a bank.
