QUOTE(ajul @ Sep 25 2013, 11:58 AM) for sure nobody exactly know when the stock will coming...a week, a month or mybe a few month...better find other brand that have ready stock.. Local set Y510p basic model ETA around 2nd week of Oct according to reseller. Better wait for official local set with 2 yrs warranty for peace of mind Bro ajul, u are selling US set(AP set) with no warranty support locally, mind to tell us how u help ur clients with AP set when local service centre rejected their major warranty claims for 1 to 1 replacement? Are u leaving them alone and helpless? I just found out what is causing my laptop to have a high pitch tone when shutting down.
I uninstalled the realtek drivers and start using windows 8 default drivers. To my surprise The high pitch tone giving me headache sometimes and changing the keyboard brightness before shutting down sound unpractical to me. Can Y410p onwer try this ? Shutting down and booting up when the backlit keyboard at medium brightness. See if u guys will hear a high pitch tone. Might need to get closer to the screen to hear it. ( I work at a super quiet environmet , so can hear it from normal position ) Nothing severe but sometimes I work late and was tire, the short 3 second high pitch sound when shutting down does get in my nerve Wondering will Lenovo will entertain me If I sent to their service center . Thanks This post has been edited by king99: Sep 25 2013, 07:46 PM |

I saw it last Saturday. If you do get a Y510P, do get a cooling pad as the laptop runs a little hot. The top left side of the keyboard felt too warm.Bro ajul, u are selling US set(AP set) with no warranty support locally, mind to tell us how u help ur clients with AP set when local service centre rejected their major warranty claims for 1 to 1 replacement? It definitely get hot when you playing heavy graphic games. I am using cooler master ergostand cooling pad but it seems like not effective. QUOTE(Abk92 @ Sep 25 2013, 01:30 PM) ermhh if the price <rm500 it's nice ur US set Y510p come with 24GB m.2 SSD for caching and not mSATA SSD. and I just wondering this, is it my hdd + 24gb msata ssd ( express cache) perform same with sshd??? or if I replace my hdd to sshd is it sshd can + with msata ssd and work together??? Better get a bigger capacity 2.5" SATA SSD for OS & programs to boost performance. This post has been edited by ytlay: Sep 26 2013, 11:45 PM |
