Sorry guys another question. Was wondering whether the Y410 could i take out the dvd writer and replace it with a 128gb SSD?

Sorry im kinda noob at this. But the current mSata Slot is a empty slot or is the slot where the 1TB harddisk is? Cause i still want the 1TB HDD with a 128SSD.

ytlay maybe you should adjust the sub-title of the thread, people will soon asking when y510p will release. Just my suggestion yeah.

All those Y510p sets that are selling through lelong or lowyat are not local set.
Officially, Y510p is not available here in Malaysia just yet.
You may want to reconsider if you plan to get non-local set as you may face difficulties with warranty.

btw..is it possible for me to buy the extra bay slot later if i buy only the basic y510/y500....answer please ...newbieeee

Y510p don't have mSATA port. It's spec with m.2 port.

Y510p m.2 port only has space to fit in a small capacity card (32G at most, iinm). You can try to install W7 on it
And that is on the premise that you could find a m.2 SSD card now

Your statement is incorrect,  you can always replace the hdd with ssd.  perhaps,  u should said thats no msata port nor m2.ngff port
