Anyone know where to get the y510p in jb???

YOu can try the Lenovo store in Danga City Mall and I think there's some retailers who supposed to carry Lenovo in KSL and other malls (check Lenovo MY website to be sure)

Else you can always contact the reliable sellers here @devour @hikari85 or @storm88 to arrange to make a purchase and they'll courier to you. I'm from JB too, but ended up getting from one of them as well. thumbup.gif

Just watch out for the ones pushing U.S. AP sets which will not be covered by local Lenovo warranty and is tempting with its better US specs and slightly lower prices. You get what you pay for in that sense, if no issues at all, then you're ok.. if you kena any problems.. then Good luck and happy times to see rclxub.gif

Do note that stocks for y510p is very fluid aka "hot" meaning stocks get sold out very quickly, so you might be in for a wait if you can't find anyone to get you some stock or able to book a unit soon.

Hi all I'm thinking of getting this lappy. But I heard they is no more local set? How bout US set? If new ver with gt755m coming, how much roughly will it cost? I have a budget of RM2200...

Suggest to wait for restocking of official local set with 2 yrs warranty and avoid US set (AP set) with no warranty support locally as reported. Y510p ETA around 2nd week of Oct. smile.gif
Local set Y410p is selling around RM27xx and Y510p around RM29xx. u can try to search hard for remaining stock of phased out model Y400/GT750m/DOS around RM2.3k.
Read post#1 to post#4 for more info.

So far the ones with hybrid SSD buffers are US sets which aren't covered by Lenovo Malaysia unless you have the original purchase receipt from Lenovo US

of course you could replace the HDD with SSHD (SSHD is just a normal HDD with build in SSD cache laugh.gif )
Seagate Momentus SSHD (1TB HDD + 64MB cache + 32G SSD) is < RM500.

Currently in the office without a lot of time to go through the thread so hope that kind forumers here can help clear some things for me:

1. Where can I find a better deal for Lenovo Y400 compared to Lowyat? OR is there any shops there that would be highly recommended to buy Y400 from.

2. How does the Y400 fare with connecting with external 21" 1440x900 resolution monitor (dual monitor setup)?

3. How awesome is it to be an owner if Y400?
