KLCC, Sunway, KL Sentral, kLIA, Port Klang, MidValley, menara TM, jaya33, bandar utama.. etc etc
even Puchong PFCC at bandar puteri.

list..
http://www.mscmalaysia.my/locations_cyber
this is interesting
http://www.mscmalaysia.my/relocation

The change is as follows:

MSC Companies now have the option locate to non-MSC designated commercial buildings within an approved MSC boundary
Companies that take up this option will be required to waive BOG 1
These companies will continue to enjoy all the other 9 benefits conferred by the BOG
The implementation of this revision is effective from January 1, 2012
*
so the only reason companies operate in cyber is cheaper rental compare to those near KL even though same MSC status? but most outsourcing services company operate from near KL unless they do manufacturing
perhaps eventually more manufacturing plants to be set up in cyber like aircraft assembly, etc.

PKNS To Focus On Township Development

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- The Selangor State Development Corp (PKNS) will continue to focus on township development in the state, given the tremendous demand for such projects and the changing lifestyle of the community.

General Manager Azlan Md Alifiah said township project would offer affordability for Malaysians to own a house given the rising house prices.

"Properties in the Klang Valley is going to be very expensive due to the increasing land costs.

"Comparatively, sub-urban project is less expensive in terms of land cost and people can have more greater work-life balances with bigger houses, landed properties, and more importantly is the quality of life," he said.

He said this to reporters on the sidelines of the 17th National Housing and Property Summit 2014, organised by Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute, here today.

Azlan was one of the speakers at the two-day summit.

He said PKNS' new township project in Cyberjaya called Selangor Science Park 2 would likely receive overwhelming response from buyers.

"I believe Science Park 2 will be similar or more successful than our previous township projects in Shah Alam and Kota Damansara.

"We would like to give opportunity for people in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to own affordable houses," he said.

Going forward, Azlan said 2015 would be a challenging year for PKNS amid the softening of the property market.

He also said that PKNS anticipated lower income from joint-venture (JV) projects as most of them were nearing the tail-end of development.

"From 2008, we have targeted to build projects on our own...(without the JV) as this would offer opportunity for us (to earn more)," he added.

i wonder will science park 2 development which is just next to cyber sell cheaper properties than cyber?
unless they build affordable homes and not normal homes like in cyber
then more people who are cost conscious will move there making cyber less demanded?

what i meant was if few places offer MSC status among others like cyber then why would company go to cyber? so could it be cheaper rent eg compare with sunway, PFCC as example? or special incentives being given to them by government or the land owner for them to build their building in cyber?

to find out the reasons why CBJ is special, it's best you go drive down there and take a look at yourself.

you are asking a question like Cyberjaya is sillicon valley, why we need San Francisco Silicon Valley.

Forget about expat.

For local IT, unless u work in very specific area, else MNC senior manager pay is about RM 10k to RM 15k only.

Once convert to USD, the resource is cheap.
