I bought my Hakone Free Pass at Odakyu Center, Shinjuku station and the staff spoke English
Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center
*
Yes this the one.. Typo error on the Odaiba Mall but Odakyu Mall. The counter staff at Shinjuku kept on saying.."me no english" go here- go here showing the english counter inside Odakyu mall.. I confused pulak wth Odaiba island blush.gif ..Odaiba & Odakyu almost similar sounding to me paisehh blush.gif

The problem is you can't catch early train if you just walk in to the counter in Odakyu mall bcos the mall still close early Morning. Either way, hv to buy a day earlier

Hi,
I'll travel with my family to Kyoto in October. As I know we dont need visa since 1st of July 2013 as long as we holding a new type of passport. How is the immigration process in airport? Do they ask a lot of question? Do we still need to bring the copy of bank deposit, letter of employment, payslip etc? Any one travel with baby before in AA?Since they not allowed to bring any fluid inside the flight, do they provide free hot water to make milk?
This is my 1st time travel with baby.
*
You can ask for hot water from the flight attendants. Worse case, they will charge you for it, but as far as i recall on my case, they didn't charge. To avoid this, just try feed up the babies as late as possible before the flight.

The ear-popping can be reduced by having your kids sucking (breastfeed or bottle).

As for the noise, I guess it can't be avoided, there will always be cases where babies / kids need to travel sweat.gif . If others can't really stand it, there always option to pay to sit in the Quiet Zone. Up to the parents to keep the babies / kids as distracted as possible.

No point to buy because Malaysia price are cheaper.  Japan more expensive due to tax.

Plus if you buy those gadget stuff won't be fully function in Malaysia / charging got problem due to adapter are 110V input only while Malaysia are 230V
Famous electronic store in Japan are Bic Camera & Yodobashi
*
Don't we get duty free electricals at Bic Camera?

Only thing stopping me from buying is the need to get an additional transformer & also worry about warranty issues.

WTF!!! I travel from Tokyo to Sapporo on Oct 11!!!

AirAsia Japan has said the budget carrier will cancel hundreds of flights over two months before it ceases operations under the current brand at the end of October.

AirAsia Japan, operated jointly by Malaysia-based AirAsia and major Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA), will suspend 14 daily flights from September 1 to October 26, according to a company statement.

The carrier said the cancellations, which will reportedly affect 14,000 passengers, was because of a lack of planes to service all its routes.

The affected routes include flights linking Seoul to the central Japanese city of Nagoya and Tokyo to the northern city of Sapporo.

The carrier will cease operations by the end of October, just over a year after it started flying out of Tokyo's Narita airport in August.

Announcing the dissolution of AirAsia Japan in June, the Malaysian carrier cited a "fundamental difference of opinion between its shareholders on how the business should be managed, from cost management to where the domestic business operations should be based".

ANA however said the venture dissolved because it was not well known in Japan and could not register profits.

The Japanese carrier plans to launch a new budget brand in November.

TOKYO: AirAsia Japan Co. said on Friday it will cancel a portion of its flights this autumn because it won't have enough planes to service all of its routes as the low-cost carrier parts ways with the Malaysia-based carrier of the same name, The Wall Street Journal said in its Asian edition on Saturday.

The cancellations will affect 14,000 passengers and 14 daily flights for about two months starting Sept. 1, according to AirAsia Japan spokeswoman Chikako Takiguchi.

The budget carrier - formed as a joint-venture between the parent of Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways and AirAsia Bhd - said it needs to return two of the five planes in its fleet to AirAsia by the end of September, making it difficult to service all of its current routes, the WSJ said.

In June, ANA Holdings Inc. said it would end its unprofitable partnership with AirAsia because of disagreements over how to run the budget carrier, dissolving the venture less than a year after it began operations.

ANA will acquire the latter's 33% stake for Y2.45 billion and said the venture would continue to operate under its current brand through October.

Eight daily flights from Nagoya's Chubu Airport will be cancelled from Sept. 1-Oct. 26. Four flights between Tokyo and Sapporo and another two flights connecting Tokyo and Okinawa will be cancelled from Oct. 1-26, the WSJ said.

Airdo calls themselves LCC but its air fare isn't LCC. The air fare is about the same as ANA and JAL. Airdo is also partly owned by ANA.

Skymark and Airdo about same price. Sightly more than 10,000 yen. Higher than Jetstar cause fly from Haneda. But Skymark luggage cheaper if u over limit and it has English website.
