hi there, is me , erm i decided to buy sapphire hd 7970 vapor-x ghz edition 3gb, because i can get it for RM1200 which i think its a good deal, but the processor that i m going to buy was i5 3570 , which is not good to OC right? i m just afraid i might get bottleneck when gaming because i will OC my GPU, i found some comments from tomshardware, there is a guy who use same processor as i do , get bottleneck on crysis 3, is it better to get 3570k? oh ya BTW my PSU Corsair 650W VS ( A/80+) enough to support my GPU ,right?

The 7970 Vapor X will do well for gaming. As for the i5 3570, you won't be able to really overclock it even if you wanted to, might be able to squeeze out a little extra (~3.9GHz). If you plan on OCing, the get the 3570k, the unlocked card means you will be able to OC it safely to 4.4-4.5Ghz with no problems. You will need a CPU cooler if you want to OC.

1. What do you intend to do with it? Gaming? If what games in general.

2. how big do you want the monitor to be(18"/22"/23"?)

Might make it easier for the gurus to help you come up with a build smile.gif

You can ask again at July by the time u do want to build a new rig. During July Haswell is available and new stuff might come out. There's no rush to ask now since later on price may differ too.

bottleneck? yes, but how much? not much

a quad core by today's standards are fast enough to cope with whatever games thrown at it. some may benefit from the use of a quad core+HT tech, but not much games can utilise it fully.

so by default, with an i5 3570, you have the best i5 can offer for Ivy Bridge lineup. theres no need to worry about bottlenecks
