Nope, but I'm trying to keeping up with the pricing.  tongue.gif
I have to remove some builds since they are redundant. tongue.gif
*
thought so, well good luck with that, since it was such a long list sweat.gif

anyway, never seen anyone put up AMD APU setup, what do you think of this one comparing price-performance value for a light gamer, (DOTA 2 is the heaviest)
-------------------------------------------
RM1.3k - AMD APU setup
AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz - RM499
ASRock FM2A75M-DGS - RM199
Avexir 8GB PC1866 TWINS 2X - RM249
FSP HEXA 500W - RM149
Seagate 500GB SATA 3 - RM159
CASING - RM100+-

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ May 18 2013, 06:51 PM)
You'd better getting Intel... at RM1.3K... It's just make it hard to recommend.
APUs are actually worth it if you are going into HTPCs and very small form factor builds, where a discrete GPU is out of the question. tongue.gif
*
basically, i watched from teksyndicate youtube where they recommend several time of APU system with really nice price around $350(around RM1085?) only with some really nice spec

i tried to build with Malaysia available H/W around same spec and this is the best i could get :/
maybe pricing at Malaysia are much higher compared overseas tongue.gif

you see, I could say i'm the most computer literate among my friends and always been asked for the cheapest computer system for DOTA 2 at considerably high setting

so i thought APU is the solution, unfortunately the price still high :/

QUOTE(ezmeer94 @ May 18 2013, 06:56 PM)
This setup only recommended for htpc brows.gif
*
than what casing is the best for these setup anyway?

Silverstone ML03? brows.gif
But it's HTPC size one... tongue.gif
*
ML03 around RM250 sweat.gif
defeating the purpose of cheap price tongue.gif
still gaming HTPC sounds not bad either XD

QUOTE(ezmeer94 @ May 18 2013, 07:42 PM)
Do check out nice htpc cases from lian li and silverstone brows.gif
If on a tight budget any case will do for a htpc
Btw I'm using an old hp pavilion casing for my i3 htpc
And you're wasting money on the ram bro ram can just use normal 1600 ram without performance difference in daily usage/gaming
*
well, i know but from i read. in order to boost up the APU graphics, RAM clock speed is really in affect
based on here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/memory...ity,3419-8.html

to me 20% increased in performance could be consider huge already.

Yes it will boost the performance but why not just build a nice intel system with a dedicated gpu  brows.gif  brows.gif

laugh.gif true that

INTEL G2020 - RM169
ASROCK B75M-DGS - RM199
Corsair DDR3 4GB PC1333 - RM94
LEADTEK GTX650TI boost 1GB - RM449
500GB SATA 3 SEAGATE - RM159

details max out with 60-70% shader
lowest fps on action would be 20fps.

based on these video:

still the processing power is much better than g2020. tongue.gif

I am looking forward to buy a HTPC for my home setup, using a 42' TV at home, could anyone give me any suggestion about it? I don't mind either AMD/intel, but leaning towards intel.

1. My budget is around 1.8k for this HTPC, going to use it purely for movies and light browsing only.

2. I'm eyeing on Bitfenix Prodigy or Jonsbo G2. Any other recommendations?

3. I'm looking for a remote control for this build, where can I find one?

4. Is there integrated graphic driver from processor enough for 1080p movie playback?

how much need to add if change to i5?
maybe i5 the most stable one and affordable one.

I5 3470 - RM559
I3 3220 - RM344

so roughly RM200+-

unless you want to find used unit, you could get I5 for around RM400-450 smile.gif

Guys, recently grabbed a cheap Intel I5-3570k from a friend working at Intel, gonna build a not so high end 2nd gaming rig with 2k budget w/o proc & monitor.

1. Gonna play on Dell U2312HM with mixture of high or ultra w/o AA/AF.

2. FPS games like BF3 / Black ops 2 and c/s BF4, Strategy games like SIMS and civilization 5.

3. Prefer Asrock mobo, case with nice dust filter feature.

Thx in advance guys.

Hey guys, I plan on buying a full PC set including a monitor as soon as possible and I need some help. My budget is around RM4000-5000 and the PC will be mainly for gaming.

I have decided on getting an i7 instead of an i5 but apart from that, I have absolutely no idea what GPU, PSU, and so on to get. I would really appreciate a price and product breakdown like @CheaTeRz did above smile.gif

PROC CORE I7 3770 3.40RM869

Thanks again man, Ill be following both your recommendations when i build my PC and ill probably settle on either one of GTX680 or HD7970. Ill also follow your recommendation regarding the Xeon.

Cheers mate! smile.gif
*
remember tho, the only setbacks regarding xeon is that its not capable to overclock AT ALL
and
there is no Integrated GPU on board, so you need GPU attached at all time smile.gif

I actually dont know what the "no IGPU on board" means tongue.gif Will that affect the use of the PC much? Because i mainly gonna use it for gaming only lol

Since im quite an amateur user, I dont think the inability to overclock means a lot rite..?
*
just in case you going to send your graphic card for a warranty, you won't be able to use motherboard graphic input/output as usual since the proc doesn't support any on board graphic.

sorry if its hard to understand blush.gif

well, that's why for non oc'er, i'd prefer to take xeon if they wish to get performance of i7 smile.gif
