I understood every bit of your remarks over Microsoft on Windows Phone development.
I believe we all here are.
But do give them a tiny understanding that developing Windows Phone for Mobile Network is quite unique to them, comparing to their decade of experience in Computer OS where Hardware do not hook up with Mobile Network around the globe. Also, I believe with the latest acquisition of Nokia Hardware and its Team. I'm sure this lapse in planning will be reduce dramatically. Windows Phone team just do not understand the complexity of Mobile in other part of the world as mentioned in previous news, until Nokia told them so.
I believe they were being ignorant at first for these Mundane features.
Personally, I do not seek Flawless in my every purchase as Flawless when using, no matter what machine/equipment/materials and how expensive they are. I would set an expectation first and think it over and over before my purchase.
This is because I used to work in Official Service Center as Customer Service Assistant, I truly understood the feeling that when Consumer purchase a mobile, they expect it to work especially consumer who purchase expensive or flagship phone, they expect it work flawlessly as advertised in those TV or Review. I had saw many that their expectation was shattered with anger, sadness and negative emotion as the phone got problem (hardware) right after 1-2 weeks being used. They had to wait for 1-2 months for new spare parts come.
Hence, from these extension experience, I told myself that I will never buy an expensive phone as this will not naturally allow myself to set my expectation high.
FYI, I still in dilemma to purchase L1020. If I purchase, it is my first phone that cost more than RM1,000.
Yeah I have high hope that Nokia and Elop will bring some much-needed urgency and Actual F[un]ing Clue™ to the WP team. Much of my long rant is actually about things they have already fixed or are setting to fix but you have to excuse me if I say their track record is none too impressive and if they don't hit the top gear soon they're gonna be dead in the water.
Also, I'm just playing devil's advocate. Yeah consumers shouldn't expect to have a flawless experience even from a top-end phone but if they're selling a phone in the price bracket of an iPhone or high-end-Android-priced-RM2k+-whatever-it-is, the least they could do is try to cover up a very, very glaring issue. You can't just bank on your 41MP sensor alone and hope the average consumer would forgive your sub-par usage experience. Unless all those millions spent in R&D and marketing is only to appease the few nerds who actually care about the camera, right now L1020 looks more like a test phone for lab rats instead of an All-Glorious Flagship phone.

u say 4 seconds lag...this is not lag, is processing image, i think ms/nokia will fine tune with the core os. what kind of flawness? so latest spec galaxy s4 also lag...u are try bashing that the phone u don't really know. yes, windows phone is not 100% perfect, and no OS is perfect and flawness. talk about upload 5g video lah....no 4g lah. u tried to bashing here, no 4g coverage is not windows phone's fault and now the trend is cloud. even u don't upload files but u sure need to download games with more than 100mb, do you use 4g to download the app/games with large file size? this will charge your data woh....i'm bet most of all here will use wifi to download or upload large files even android users...
nowadays trend is cloud storage, if u prefer not to use cloud storage, no one force u to upload....next time your phone lost and data corrupt, don't complain...remember it will charge your data, u better don't use mobile data to check your facebook, twitter, instagram....
It's a 4-second-delay-between-taking-shots-in-which-time-you-can't-really-do-anything-else-while-the-file-is-processed. Call it what you want.
I have no clue what you're talking about in the rest of your post; I suggest re-reading my posts in full. I'm not talking about ME, I'm talking about your average, non-tech-savvy citizens who won't be too impressible and forgiving like the rest of us are. You know.. the target market that actually matter, currently in love with Copysung and iPongs.
Again don't get me wrong. I love WP to death and I want to see it succeed (partly because I've spent much money on it) but I'm not going to be an apologist about their slacking and shortcomings, especially when said shortcomings are just plain dumb things that shouldn't have happened in the first place. There's some serious flaws in their design process and they need to fix it now.
