WPCentral quoted Nokia 925 is available in Singapore by tomorrow, 20 July 2013.
While Nokia 1020 will be available in 3rd Quarter which is before October.

Hopefully, Malaysia will be following a few days after that.

Indeed. Just try the Pro Cam with my 925.
Though still more to learn.

Their online support can give the code to unlock the phone. But the band on this phone is different, so will not work with malaysia LTE band. Can still get 4G tho, so no complaints.
*
I don't understand.
I thought Lumia LTE is a universal LTE, where it could be used and compatible in major cities.

1020 should be avail be end sept. in Malaysia
*
Wow, I seriously doubted Malaysia going to receive L1020 before October at first. But mwtang's reliable statement rekindled my initial thought.

I better get prepare, mentally and financially.
I hope SuperBuy.my will carry it once L1020 is announced in the Malaysia market.

if is rm2299, its too close to newly launch note3 price, nobody would jump ship provided note3 has a lot improved and new features.
*
True.
The Note 3 have great features on usability especially for Power Users. Kinda feel like Tablet in small HD screen with the Pen features. Very practical and usability.

Honestly, as one mentioned earlier, Windows Phone really lack many Power Features, even basic feature compare to Android. But I am buying Lumia 1020 for its Camera 'A Superior Camera always with me', not exactly required all those Features. I can live without them, but it would a PLUS, if Microsoft could provide them soon, especially with next WP OS. This is my preference.

I agreed that Windows Phone definitely need to have these features in order to grow substantially into the next years/quarters, to meet its Billions-WP target.

Again, Nokia Malaysia could surprise us.
Remember the L925 where its Presentation Slides show RM,1799 or RM,1899 something like that, but during actual Retail Launch, the RRP only RM1,599. Yet, Superbuy.my (Malaysia Online Retailer) offering almost additional RM100 discount on the launch day in their website.

And please don't drop the phone when purchasing *touch wood*.

I think you can pick Note 3 if you want and perhaps get a Sony QX lens for the bundle, that would be really nice since you can take good pictures with that lens but with one hand holding a lens and a giant phone, it's not wise to do that.

I really love Android with all the available apps but when it comes to "practical", I prefer WP8.  thumbup.gif
*
Lol. Thanks for the reminding me icon_rolleyes.gif
It was indeed a special moment with Nokia. Lol

Definitely no no to add extra lens. At least, for me.
I do not think I want to carry an extra len around when want to take some great photo with a superior Smartphone Camera. Kinda remind me about DLSR.

Yup, I agreed with Android's strength where Android has almost endless solution through Apps or ROM or ______ .

Also, I agreed with your statements about "Practical with WP8".
Though, I still find the lack of integrated Dial features in WP8 a bit annoying. Other than that, I wouldn't complaint much.

"If you're not upgrade eligible, the phone's unsubsidized price has also fallen to $609.99 — down from $659.99." thumbup.gif

I saw that news yesterday and I calculated to RM, it is possible that the RRP below 2.1K

I think it is the Bandit/1520 that are priced at 2.3/2.4 due to its FHD Screen, rumor-20MP-Camera and Quad Core.

i wish Nokia will release a quad-core variant for Lumia 1020. I think the device is beautiful but those few seconds between shots is really disapointing man.
*
Me too.
But the fact is Lumia 1020 comes with only Dual Core, and also include those few seconds in-between shots.

There is no alternative until 2015, probably?
I couldn't wait that long either.

this time l1020 face a big challenge, l1020 suppose to wow people and hope people to jumpship, but unfortunately note 3 release something quite impressive and if price are not much different, people like me thinking of jump ship would reconsider again  biggrin.gif
*
I understand your point.
I was WOWed by Note 3's Great Features as well and I was also amazed by Android Vast Apps.

But for me, personally, I am not sure whether those Features will help me in most of my daily routine for next 2-3 years. Dont forget, Lumia 1020 has Mobile Industry unique's feature - 41MP Camera, more or less like Nokia 808 Pureview.

I think Nokia 1520 would be marketed to compete with Note 3, thought a bit late to the game.
Please, I do not wish to comment which will win over the best Phone features.

QUOTE(arbelnox @ Sep 9 2013, 08:29 AM)
Nokia phones always facing BIG challenges in Malaysia anyway cos it is running Windows Phone. So, I don't really think the scenario could be worse for Nokia.
Samsung Note 2  really is a superior device in most aspects except its build quality and quality control so it will definitely gain boost on sales on GNote 3 too, that I expected as much. But for I am a Lumia 920 user, I got all the 95% of the apps and features I need on daily basis; while GNote 3's awesome features, though sounds extremely wonderful but the features are not required in daily basis so it may become only gimmicks for me. Therefore, I think Lumia 1020's features and apps will just do suffice on my need, not to mention that 41MP can be REALLY USEFUL in circumstances, such as travelling and attending concerts, seminar etc.
Note? I can take note on my Vaio Duo 11 with bigger screen and more features. Besides, it is not hard to get a pen and a paper right? Where can you find another 41MP shooter on notebook or whatever camera in such form factor nowadays?
Always easier to bring a pen than bringing a DSLR camera all day in and day out.
