Received my 1020 from Negri Electronics and collected it in LA. Purchased the Black Camera Grip for usage while in LA trip, my Yellow Camera Grip has been shipped from Amazon UK.
Pretty much blew my mind what this thing can do. I've owned and used a 920 before and sold it off in anticipation of the 1020. This phone, exceeds the 920 and then some! ![]() ![]() Thinking back and forth whether I should get the Wireless Cover or not. I'm used to having my 920 charged wirelessly using my Panasonic Wireless Qi charger, and want the same flexibility on the 1020 as well. But it also means taking off the Camera Grip, which I dont wanna do, coz it gave so much precision during picture taking and not to mention the additional battery embedded in the Grip. |

QUOTE(arbelnox @ Sep 10 2013, 08:11 AM) yeah, for some reason, Sony Xperia team really should borrow some technicians from the Sony Alpha Camera team. The camera on the Xperia just sucks whole time, even the other competitors who use the same camera module from Sony can tweak the photo result better. I love Sony products, but when it comes to Xperia Camera, I just can only shake head. Without derailing the thread, I would like to offer my view regarding Sony DSLR.If you have experience with Sony DSLR, you would notice that Sony has the lousiest JPEG algorithm among all DSLR brands. And yes, other DSLR competitors who use the same Sony sensor get better results!!!! |

I really like the camera grip though...I think it is more tempting for me than the whole 1020 itself

QUOTE(weirdguy @ Sep 11 2013, 04:52 PM) I don't think so. The phone would be immediately available for purchase. Remember L900 launch event in Pavilion? I suppose it's the same, in fact, if you attend the event and purchase on the spot, you'd get some freebies thrown in. It was Monster headset back then, probably camera grip + wireless charging shell now? Or even a wireless charging plate? Either way, I'll be there if I don't have appointments to attend to. |

QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Sep 11 2013, 05:05 PM) http://www.lowyat.net/2013/09/11/12609/nok...for-our-market/ Last paragraph, "We expect all these information will be revealed at the launch event next week. So, do stay tuned with us for all the juicy details of Lumia 1020 release in Malaysia as well as our initial hands-on experience with the device on that day."It is just media event on 19/9/2013, not launch event though So either he's hinting something, or he's confused. Either way, let's see. |
