I understand your point.
I was WOWed by Note 3's Great Features as well and I was also amazed by Android Vast Apps.

But for me, personally, I am not sure whether those Features will help me in most of my daily routine for next 2-3 years. Dont forget, Lumia 1020 has Mobile Industry unique's feature - 41MP Camera, more or less like Nokia 808 Pureview.

I think Nokia 1520 would be marketed to compete with Note 3, thought a bit late to the game.
Please, I do not wish to comment which will win over the best Phone features.

Nokia phones always facing BIG challenges in Malaysia anyway cos it is running Windows Phone. So, I don't really think the scenario could be worse for Nokia.
Samsung Note 2 really is a superior device in most aspects except its build quality and quality control so it will definitely gain boost on sales on GNote 3 too, that I expected as much. But for I am a Lumia 920 user, I got all the 95% of the apps and features I need on daily basis; while GNote 3's awesome features, though sounds extremely wonderful but the features are not required in daily basis so it may become only gimmicks for me. Therefore, I think Lumia 1020's features and apps will just do suffice on my need, not to mention that 41MP can be REALLY USEFUL in circumstances, such as travelling and attending concerts, seminar etc.
Note? I can take note on my Vaio Duo 11 with bigger screen and more features. Besides, it is not hard to get a pen and a paper right? Where can you find another 41MP shooter on notebook or whatever camera in such form factor nowadays?
Always easier to bring a pen than bringing a DSLR camera all day in and day out.

yeah, cos it will leave Note 3 WAY FAR BEHIND!!! biggrin.gif
Just kidding... the chances will still be Samsung reigns the mobile world due to its marketing that already implant the impression that it is cool and smart to own a Samsung device.

emmm, its worry me though, as my high expectation for 1020... if the price is too high, i might not be able to jump in into the hype, and if i force myself, will it be worth it?. As for nokia malaysia, they usually inform the price and details in a few days before the launch, unlike any other country, which the pre order start at least 2 weeks before launch.

It's really all about hype.

Yesterday I was hiking on one of the hill, the place was beautiful during sun rise. At there, some of the folks are carrying a smartphone, most of them don't really how to use their phones to shoot nor tweak the settings, I'm puzzled when they even asked me to how to review the photos.

Now, I don't blame them, they just need a reliable smartphone that is easy to use. Here, I have demonstrated a Nokia phone to them on the ability to hold the shutter button to launch the camera, take a shot (you should see some of their faces!), review the picture by swiping right. JOB DONE! Some people might even think that I'm using an actual camera. laugh.gif

So, which is why I have mentioned a few times on Lumia being a practical shooter phone.

Indeed. I miss the "Swipe Right to View" gesture on the stock Camera. Being using Nokia Pro Camera now only.
Long press to fire up camera is really convenient feature that should be available in all smart phones.

Oh here comes my rant,

Nokia Pro Cam & Default Cam
This camera app has no "last settings" meaning you have to set the settings again if you've close the app and there's no auto maximum iso settings available in both the cameras, ISO 3200 is not really useful.

@Nokia - Nokia Malaysia just plain sucks at marketing. Somebody should be fired.

L1020 is also a fail IMO, with its dual-4-sec-lag-core and no SD slot (pretty sure it's Microsoft The Turtle's fault). If Nokia doesn't do something about it, it'll end up being a novelty item like 808 instead of being the killer phone. Re-release it with a quad core, fix those damn lags, put an SD slot and they'll have a big winner. Go Lumia 1025. Or at least fix those damn lags.

In order to fix the lag, they really need an image processor (separate from the main CPU) that's on its own, something which WP does not support at the moment. Even with quad core, the lag still can't be fixed. As for SD, I can still live without it smile.gif

Remember how WP7 didn't have a "save camera settings" when it started? We're seeing the same thing now. Hopefully it gets updated, but of course, since I don't take picture of the same view over and over again, I figure I need not rant about it smile.gif

You are correct.
What I meant earlier is 1520 is a better selection to use to compete with Note 3, rather than 1020.
As you know, 1520 has huge FHD, Quad Core, 20MP.

I believe in jonchai comment that future update will allow Save Camera Settings.

Sorry, I only google here and there.
Honestly, I do not have a full concepts in my mind as well.
Hence, I do not think I am the right person to state a summary of Note3's features.

So am I, I can live without SD.
Comparing Note 3 or other Smartphone including iPhone, I in love with Nokia PolyCarbonate design especially Lumia 1020 - Matte Yellow!

Yes, that's what I said, but if you've been a WP user since its first iteration, you'd know that back in WP7, the default camera didn't even allow you to save settings, which was really mad.gif

So I believe it will come to ProCam soon enough. Drop a suggestion to Nokia.

@weirdguy, I'm not gonna quote your lengthy comment, but here's the reply. Okay, I'll search for the Note3 features when I have time then.

I wanna know if they are really gimmicky features or useful ones. Remember back in S4 they introduced the waving gesture feature? It sucked plain and simple when put to practical use. I tried numerous times to flip by waving, it couldn't even sense my hand.
