After u drag the files u want to delete from ur memory card to the trashcan at the docker,
str8 away empty ur trashcan. nod.gif

tat will remove the .trashes files in ur memory card

notice tat the remaining spaces stated at the bottom of the finder showing ur memory card will show an increase of spaces right after u empty ur trashcan. smile.gif

hmm.. why don't use delete it on windows? IIAMN, whenever any media (i mean hdd, handydrive, memory card..etc) load in mac osx, it will generate those (.)files. For me, i just delete them in windows. icon_rolleyes.gif

there r two kinds of hole for firewire400 which is found in our computer...

the one used by sony handycam which they called i.link , and many laptop including dell, compaq, vaio n even fujitsu use smaller version of firewire port where the port is a small square hole.

and the other one r the normal size firewire port which can be found on apple as well as those found on regular desktop pc. they r larger in size n have a shape of a pentagon.

u need to get an extra firewire cable which ends with the same firewire port u r using wif ur dvcam
*
ya the normal cable i use is i.link..so i have to use firewire cable that (dvcam) - normal i.link and mbp- (firewire400)? where can i get that cable?

hey guys i just got my macbook pro 15" 3-4 days ago.

I was using it and then went to do something for a couple hours, leaving my macbook pro running to finish up some tasks that i had set it to do (running in vista home premium under boot camp).

I come back to find that the CD drive no longer ejects the CD and the case has been bent and as far as i no it has not left my desktop and there is not a scratch on the casing from any force that i could think of.

Has anyone heard of such instances occuring or has experienced such things, I am taking my MBP back to the shop tomorrow to have it checked out. I changed the HDD from the stock 120GB to a 160GB and that works fine 100%, its the superdrive thats giving problems cry.gif

I have used mac many timesbefore in the past and have never experienced such problems.

I ain't sure if i'm correct but it;s just an opinion of mine....

Windows os does not have the apps to control mac hardwares as efficient as OS X (eg. power, fan speed, heat detection etc etc).

This might cause your mbp to overheat if u leave it running windows for a long period of time.

I'm looking at the exact same thing. Might want to head over to the forums at Macrumors.com and Appleinsider.com for more talk on future MBPs. Santa Rosa is rumored to be released on May 9th, and the MBP is at the end of its product cycle as noted on http://buyersguide.macrumors.com. We should expect to see an upgrade shortly after the release of Santa Rosa.

Speed increases? Santa Rosa offers a bump in the FSB to 800MHz. Nothing too extraordinary outside of that - support for NAND caching, 802.11n, and some other hub-bub.

I'm going to hold out until Apple updates the MBP. I'm betting that they'll do more than migrate the platform over to Santa Rosa. The X1600 on the MBP could use an upgrade, and there's some talk about the HD2600XT making its way into the MBP.

I want a mac ultraportable. Ditch the heavy aluminum. Business users require something light for running through airports.

NAND looks like it's going to remain quite expensive. There was a figure on some tech site yesterday plotting the price of NAND flash in comparison to standard HDDs factoring in the current rate of change in price per gigabyte, change according to Moore's Law, and change according to some other law or other. I can't seem to find it now, though.
