macbook seems to be a nice deal just that lacking of dedicated GPU shuns me away  sad.gif macbook pro is kinda heavy and out of my budget.
*
Last time i also felt that the lack of GPU is kinda .. erm.. sucky?
But then since MAC also dont have much game..... and i have 1 Windoze desktop for gaming and other purpose... so i just go ahead to buy my MacBook

The real turndown for me is the super small screen.. 13.3" ... yeah it's easy to carry around but then too small. rclxub.gif

Still love it though whistling.gif

Nop, it does not void your warranty. Search around the threads and the forum, plenty of answer regarding your question smile.gif

Err what type of firewire i shud use to capture video from my dv cam? Before this whwn i use windows laptop, i just use a normal firewire cable. But when i look firewire port at MBP, it seems different from normal firewire that i used before this.

there r two kinds of hole for firewire400 which is found in our computer...

the one used by sony handycam which they called i.link , and many laptop including dell, compaq, vaio n even fujitsu use smaller version of firewire port where the port is a small square hole.

and the other one r the normal size firewire port which can be found on apple as well as those found on regular desktop pc. they r larger in size n have a shape of a pentagon.

u need to get an extra firewire cable which ends with the same firewire port u r using wif ur dvcam

i got some important questions to ask the Macbook users here.
(MacBook Pro users.. thx..i dun need answer from u guys..haha)

Anyone here using Maya or Zbrush in their MacBook?

I am planning to get it for 2D digital painting(A4 size painting at 300dpi) & 3D modelling purpose.

Can Macbook support all these heavy task?

Promoter told me shouldn't get Macbook for such work. But i am New & budget-consumer.

For such rendering and processing i doubt the MB could support it. MB Pro maybe?

dat's y i am in a doubt. Probably still getting Macbook. But haf to using Desktop PC to do rendering.

I am really noob in 3D rendering tech. I am still stucking in modelling stage. So i got no idea how SSS or HDRI working like.

One major drawback MBPRO is simply too big to bring around frequently. And the price of it, is better i get a car.
