I'm also still not really understand about this RnR loan.
Hope OCBC agent can give a head up.

Does this RnR loan will have the same account with the home loan?

Does it need a prove of the renovation?, as I see on its brochure, the loan can directly debit into the saving account. Plan to buy some house appliance too.

RnR loan come with different agreement, it is a personal loan.
repayment to different account.
maximum is up to 30% of the property value.
10% can directly to applicant, 20% is for contractor only.
interest rrate is BLR+0
need help for this?

The facility will be shown on Ccris as Personal Loan collateral code. The interest is lower than personal loan.

Thank you ericliaw and thomas.tan .

As I assume in my head, its should have different account too.

As I needed it only for cabinet+appliance, then maybe its not really suitable for me.
Plus, if its consider as personal loan, then I just need to find a personal loan which has reducing rate less than 6%.

hi all,

Im planning to refinance my housing loan so I could get extra cash to renovate my house.
My current mortgage package is with Bank Islam as follow.

Loan Amount: RM415,753
Rate: BFR - 2.5% (BFR at 6.6% now and rate capped at 10.75%)
Duration: 39 years
NO LOCK IN Period
Monthly payment: 1781.51

Im looking to get an equivalent offer or better for the refinancing purpose.
The current market price of my house stood at around RM650-700k.

My prefer mortgage option would be Islamic but will consider conventional as well.
So to all loan agents etc please PM me if you can give an attractive offer.
Thanks

Hi,

Since there are so many people from the banks, perhaps you can answer my questions:

1) Is there a minimum age for a person to apply a housing loan?
2) Is there any minimum number of months/years a person should be working before applying for housing loan?

Can a fresh grad with salary around 3k who has no records in CCRIS apply for loan?

P/S: I really hope, I'm not posting in the wrong thread

Highly unlikely. BLR - 2.5% is basically the rock bottom of what banks can offer at the moment. I have *heard* from the rumour mill that there was odd cases of BLR-2.6%, but I don't buy it myself.

With BNM recently issued guidelines of maximum HL tenure of 35 years, unlikely you can get a lower instalment for this.

Your BLR-2.5% package with no lock in and 39 tenure is the best in market already. Bank Negara already capped max loan tenure to 35 years. Interest rate max also BLR-2.45% based on that loan amount for all other banks.
