Does this mean where unifi is avail, maxis is surely too?

If routing is different... how is maxis latency for games.. .say dota2... and do they perform any kind of throttling?

Just wanna ask.. should I get Maxis Fibre Internet?
My whole family is a Maxis user

My famiily usage mostly on browsing, doing work, banking and others online but 0% on torrent and downloading.

Except for me, I will watch drama on azdrama.com but 0% on games and torrent. normal surfing, facebooking,lyn..


which package should I get?
now using streamyx 1mbps -my father is a acc holder


is it reliable?

i m currently maxis rm118 user... there r time i hate maxis... (u know la 8pm-2am)
but the packages i got, eg free minute to my mobile, 10 oversea call... totally worth it

oh im not gamer, so overall 10mbps is wonderful
utubing can support like 4user at the same time and u can watch 1080p video with no lag
and the torrent doesnt affect me much nowadays, as im fans of 'watch online' hoho

the fiber contractor they appoint, they always want "extra income"

u know, u can call TM staff todo the fiber job directly without relying to the contractor...
again "those type" of ppl... wan extra pocket money again... their pakatan is really strong
nothing change, complain to their supervisor oso no news...
i even wrote official letter to TM to complain, as expected... no news

if i support Unifi, tat mean im going to support that whole chain of tat type of ppl

they already have iptv la.. with astro and there are new channel only maxis has offer for their iptv..

last time they promise to release the iptv with 14 content provider... not ASTRO packages
and we dont want ASTRO full packages
we just wan simple package like Unifi 30channels (try compare Astro family pack)

and there r no upgrade option for rm118 packages member
so we r at the dead end

Just got my public ip... much more response during web browsing

Is maxis home fiber good, lets say I mostly use mainly for gaming and download stuff or I had to jump the orange camp...?

Tried to follow the guide on how to tag vlan port on the hwawei, doesnt work.. tried to tag 823 on my ASUS router also doesnt work. Astro IP diagnostic shows the multicast gateway but no picture.. I'm sure they must've add something on the Tehcnicolor modem... hopefully the Networking Gurus would jump ship to Astro and Maxis so that we can get some guide on this.

1/ The fact that things are throttled and not mentioned upfront. Don't launch something cheap, then potong stim with throttling.
2/ Thomson router keeps hanging and needs to be rebooted most of the time...
3/ Latency is pathetic, >100ms, even to Singapore...
4/ Voice is not provided for free, need to add RM20 additional to RM148...
5/ Had a problem with the Astro IPTV, Maxis customer service couldn't help, pointed the finger to Astro...
6/ Installation took ages...
7/ Customers are provided with private IP so it is difficult to do simple things like CCTV etc...


I guess it is not easy for a mobile operator to manage fix services but shouldn't all this be looked into even before they get into this business...

Agree.. This Maxis and Astro thing is really giving problem on the support.. You call astro , they say MAxis, u call maxis they say astro.. Can't even solve my public issue yet coz i've given up.. They point to each other..

I got public before they upgraded to Astro, then when AStro came to install.. it reverted back to private.. Asked both on how to change to public back, they point to each other

So you're not connecting via pppoe but DHCP? And their DHCP gives you a 192.168.x or 10.0.x type of ip?

I did ask Maxis just now since my IPTV installation is on 2nd Julai... Maxis reply public IP can be requested from Maxis... I don't know if it's true or not, i certainly hope it's true... Since i did mention Astro IPTV + Maxis FTTH inside my question...

idk how to convince my parents to changeto Maxis Fiber Internet..any idea?
