Maxis has been calling me to take the 10mbps package for rm148. The thing I'm scared of is when the service is bad and I don't want it anymore, I have to pay rm500 to let them let me go, like ah long.

Then I ask the maxis person about this, she said that they will waive the fee if really got a lot of problem.

Should I change to maxis? I feel like even if I report problem they'll ignore me and still ask me to pay...

it is up for you to decide...
i m currently maxis rm118 user... there r time i hate maxis... (u know la 8pm-2am)
but the packages i got, eg free minute to my mobile, 10 oversea call... totally worth it

oh im not gamer, so overall 10mbps is wonderful
utubing can support like 4user at the same time and u can watch 1080p video with no lag
and the torrent doesnt affect me much nowadays, as im fans of 'watch online' hoho

---
eg. free 1080p full video, by HKTVNetwork wub.gif no lag
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWP1YCsBDSw
---

too bad, the iptv they promise since last year july (2012) is totally hoax
up until now still no news
vmad.gif as u know, they practice monopolism,
if in US or Euro they sure kena Class Action Lawsuit

---

below statement is my personal feeling and experience...
--
there is 1 thing tat i refuse to join unifi, u know how the "ppl working" there la
the mentality.... haiyo... im vomiting blood here while tying
maxis customer service is suck, but unifi customer service is totally shit
everytime i call them, i feel like my IQ have been downgraded to retard level

and there r other issue
the fiber contractor they appoint, they always want "extra income"
ok u can refuse to pay them...
u know, u can call TM staff todo the fiber job directly without relying to the contractor...
again "those type" of ppl... wan extra pocket money again... their pakatan is really strong
nothing change, complain to their supervisor oso no news...
i even wrote official letter to TM to complain, as expected... no news

if i support Unifi, tat mean im going to support that whole chain of tat type of ppl
sorry lor... as of current i decided to continue with maxis
*
---actually i find a new way to download torrent in 8pm-2am with free vpn...using korea server ...full speed downloding using xunlei lixian..http://www.vpngate.net/en/howto_softether.aspx

For so long I've never had any speed limits when torrenting (8PM-2AM), now I'm trying to download a movie from TPB, always at 60KB/s sad.gif

Is there any way to bypass this speed limit? Any suggestions for good, uncapped trackers?

My Webpage[/URL] http://www.vpngate.net/cn/ try this vpn..some korea server can go up 800-900kb,its free..

So you gonna pay RM25 monthy for that, so at the end of the day, the savings from the Maxis+Astro IPTV would go for this, it would back to square one
*
u can change ur homeline from postpaid to preapaid...so u can save the rental fee..last time i also using streamyx but i terminate it and keep the number, and buy a prepaid package, starter pack i think is rm 20-30(forget)...for me the tm line just receive call from other which is did not call out..i topup rm10 for every three months so that tm wont cut ur line...

How does the prepaid work? Something like mobile prepaid? What is the expiry period?

If you mean iTalk, seem like the max validity period is 60 days for RM50, it is just the same as paying rental for 2 months... http://www.tm.com.my/ap/personal/voice/car...bout-iTalk.aspx
*
that rental fee is rm25,if u call out additional charge... my prepaid just wnt receive call from outside so i only top up rm10..rm10 have 10days validity,in the periodu can used the money to call out..after that tm will give another 3month top up..if not they only will cut the line...for me just received call so i just top up 10 for every 3 months..

Maxis Home Fibre Installation day. Around 9.00am, Maxis guy arrived. Tmnet guy 11 plus arrived. My appointment was 9.30am. What is the point of making appointment when you don't follow the time.
At the server room of my block, Tmnet guy told me that the Unify port are not receiving any signals, so cannot use.
Niamah. Wasted my time and everybody time.
*
ya.last time my 1st installation also failed like ur case..i wait 2month for second installation...and i terminate streamyx ard and i no internet2months..

Need advice on upgrading my internet connection. I am now using Streamyx 1mbps package(old one). Its either Unifi5mbps/8or4mbps streamyx or maxis home fibre 10mbps. From what I heard, maxis fibre sucks. Asking for advice from all of you. Btw, I live in kota kinabalu, sabah and my area dont have Unifi. (my friend got 4mbps but it seems my house dont have port. Probably cuz my lorong most house is for university students)

a standard speedtest should suffice but here is the ip address which is close by : "tx4.wtfast.com".

There are 5 if im not mistaken. A test on all 5 would be appreciated. but tx4 would be enough.

to test on all 5, you can just swap out the "4" to other numbers such as "tx1.wtfast.com"
