Just got a call from Astro CS that Astro soon will launch its IPTV on Maxis FTTH...

same price for 10mbps but Astro RM20 discount per month (super pack 3)
*
Astro SuperPack 3 = RM155, so we get it at RM135 via Astro IPTV ?

3) how many free minutes to IDD 10 destinations? and which destinations?
4) how many free minutes to maxis lines if tagged on to maxis mobile?

any more freebies that i have missed out? thanks.

any disadvantage of fttb(fibre then copper) compared to ftth(fibre all the way to house) ?
*
No difference.... copper can handle up to 100Mbps with Fibre handling much higher bandwidth

Do you need to pay the 6% service tax for only the Maxis Fibre bill (without Astro IPTV)?
*
Maxis Fibre bill does not have 6% Govt Tax.
Astro Bill would have 6% Govt Tax.
My guess : You will get 2 bills (Maxis Home Fibre + Astro), even the Maxis Voice bill is separated with different account no.

Maxis does charge the 6 or now 7% on the hsbb bill, but only for the calls that you made from your phone. Broadband is not taxed by the government.
*
When you subscribe to Maxis Home Fibre, you get TWO(2) bills with TWO(2) account numbers
1. Internet bill [No 6% Govt Tax]
2. Voice bill [6% Govt Tax on the call charges]

When did it go up to 7% ????!?!?!? Don't lah mislead forummers with unconfirmed details.

p.s. Govt Tax is different from Goods & Services Tax (GST)
