QUOTE(khelben @ Mar 29 2013, 09:47 AM)
Hey, to all online gamers that have changed to public IP,

Do you guys really get better latency?

Pass few days I notice my latency has been bad in Guild Wars 2 when there's more than 100 players around. Didn't really have that issue last time.

I'm still on private IP, I guess, since my IP starts from 10.

Thanks.
*
I don't think public IP will improve ur latency...the problem lies on Maxis routing...

Just curious anyone of you faced this problem? I forgot to pay 1 month of payment, and they just suspend my account. Very quick I would say.
*
Don't know about recently... but last time i think i paid after 2 month... The account still working fine...

Really,
you are fast becoming ronnie ver 2.0

whenever people complain got problem
your reply will be:
mine works fine, no problem with me, etc etc

your post is just like rubbing salt to people's wound.
Let others who have the same problems try find some solution.

back on track,
public ip and private ip by maxis is a scam to shape/survey traffic

What with the butt hurt..? He did mention "anyone"... Don't blame other people when you get bad service from same provider when other people not...

As for the torrent cap issue it's not like i the only person who posted not being cap... recently got other people oso post their torrent not being cap...

FYI i also paid my maxis postpaid bill every 2 month...

Enough off-topic back to track...

Anyone noticed this in Maxis' FAQ?
100GB quota but claimed they offer unlimited download quota. Contradicting themselves or what?  doh.gif
*
Do read the small note under package listing... It did say "Unlimited until further notice" similar to Unifi package...

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Mar 31 2013, 07:57 PM)
Correct. By stating a 'unlimited quota' does not give them the right to place a 100GB cap when it clearly states 'unlimited'. Even Unifi does not have such caps.
*
Who say Unifi don't have..? Unifi VIP5 clearly say 60GB monthly... But AFAIK both Maxis & Unifi not implemented the cap yet...

Yup, somehow only happening on Google Chrome, so I've just left a Firefox window open for Facebook.
I don't know why this is happening, and I've checked everything and it has got nothing to do with Chrome.
*
Try disable "Predict network actions to improve page load performance"... maybe it will help...

my original idea was to get Access Point and cable it to the router, turn off the router wifi and use only the AP wifi unsure.gif

That also can be done... smile.gif

im thinking of switching from unifi to maxis. Is is worth while? izzit really fast and reliable? 10mbps for rm148 seems so good.
*
Well.. frankly speaking it gonna be like a hit and a miss... Some user reporting good service and some user reporting bad... Ping for online game is bad compare to even streamyx... And some user reporting cap speed when using p2p apps...

hmmm. I'm guessing there's more of a bad service than good. Sigh~ thanks for sharing anyways, maybe i should stay with unifi.

However, maxis iptv and maxis fibre package sounds to tempting... haihhhhh! headache!
*
Like I said it's a hit & miss... My only issue with maxis fiber is high ping for online game... I currently don't have any issue with p2p (torrent the only I use (in b4 some angry bcoz I post this))...

Also Maxis IPTV available already..? Still can't find a way to register it except for ROI only...

Yes maxis IPTV is available already. Look at astro website http://www.astro.com.my/byond/ByondIPTV.aspx
Although it sounds so tempting, i decide to stick to UNIFI. Sighh, damn Maxis i hope they will improve their fibre service.
*
Yeah its available... But Maxis & Astro staff kinda not helpful for existing customer... Maxis even send me a new registration form if i want Astro IPTV... Still no reply from Astro dedicated IPTV team....
