QUOTE(th3.h04rd3r @ Mar 10 2014, 09:52 PM) my huawei echolife hg8240 is dead That's because this equipment belongs to TM and it will be replaced & configured by TM.anybody know where i can get a quick replacement? maxis say that i can't just drop by a maxis centre for a replacement. And since you are a Maxis subscriber, you will need to report to Maxis first & they shall escalate it to TM. This post has been edited by jolmy: Mar 11 2014, 12:51 AM |

called up ASTRO customer service, seems that my decoded is not running the latest firmware. Apparently when it was first installed, the decoded was not receiving a good signal from dish, so it didn't get the latest firmware.
Technician came the day after and recalibrate the dish, and somehow forced the firmware update. Now working fine. Guy, jus a litre advice. Make sure the installer have good signal from the dish, eventho the IPTV don't use it that much. Maybe someone else can explain this better than me. |

I don't even have my coaxial cables plugged in. They are lying to you through their teeth. Only the home fibre can use the hybrid setup, but that's not needed for IPTV to function.Technician came the day after and recalibrate the dish, and somehow forced the firmware update. Only the home fibre can use the hybrid setup, but that's not needed for IPTV to function. the previous firmware before the latest(before the ui update) firmware need the dish to update, only then it gets the update from the internet(ethernet port). in my case the installer did not update the firmware to the latest, and my decoders were showing theres an update, but it just wont download, 0% and error afterwards. i need to plug in my dish to get the update, and had to bring down my second decoder to update as well because it just wont download without the dish. the latest firmware(latest UI) however is updated through the internet for both of my decoder. |

Hi guys, how do I access DMZ/firewall setting in my router?
My model is Thomson TG784n. I need to add my 3DS IP address into DMZ because it seems that the router blocks the connection from my 3DS resulting I can't play multiplayer on my 3DS. Update: Nvm, I found it! This post has been edited by ericling: Mar 18 2014, 06:39 PM |

QUOTE(Choongster @ Mar 19 2014, 09:50 AM) bought the Asus RT-N12HP .. with the 9dBi antenna . Why not use the Asus router as main? Do you use the VOIP?using it as a repeater to existing Maxis Technicolor router. Now can download from the room up to 20MB .. still missing "10mb" of internet.. maybe i just downgrade to 20mb .. I replaced mine with the Asus RT-N14UHP. Almost same with N12HP but with 3x 9dBi and USB port. Like how they QoS work. Also try to set N mode only. The only limitation of these Broadcom powered router (RT-N12/14 HP) is that it is still 2x2 only. If you really want even better speed when serving multiple devices, get one with 3x3 like Asus RT-N66U, but you might not get the range you wanted.
