QUOTE(obh55 @ Nov 13 2013, 10:51 PM) so u guys having 2 mpbs every night starting around 8pm as well??? so sad with it... this is only my fifth day... haizzz..... That's the reason why I refused to switch from UniFi to Maxis after they pestered me to do so at least 3 times via phone calls and while I was in a Maxis Centre. I have anticipated such things will come sooner or later at the first place.

QUOTE(calvin_ng @ Nov 17 2013, 11:46 PM) my unifi also buffering youtube... Maxis ride on TM on most location (only different VLAN) which the last mile is on TM... expecially apartment it is TM hardware... so I guess the congestion begins... The YouTube buffering is nothing to do with the congestion at the apartment equipment. In the case of TM, popular video clips from YouTube are cached in a local server & then loaded from it, which more or less guarantees smooth playback. But if you play a video which is not cached, then you are likely to get the buffering problem as it needs to load it directly from YouTube servers. This seems more like routing issue or international bandwidth issue.

QUOTE(th3.h04rd3r @ Mar 10 2014, 09:52 PM) my huawei echolife hg8240 is dead anybody know where i can get a quick replacement? maxis say that i can't just drop by a maxis centre for a replacement. That's because this equipment belongs to TM and it will be replaced & configured by TM. And since you are a Maxis subscriber, you will need to report to Maxis first & they shall escalate it to TM. QUOTE(raynman @ Aug 4 2014, 11:11 PM) I don't understand why can't Maxis run the VOIP phone from the TEL1 socket of the Huawei EchoLife HG850a modem (or any other model) like Unifi as shown here. Why do they need to run it off the downstream Thomson wireless router? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « That's because the modem is supplied by TM & only TM technician is allowed to configure it, not Maxis.
