I have a noob question, can i apply permanon > sealant > wax > LSD?
permanon > sealant : would love to know if the sealant can bond properly or not and whether it'll effect the durability of the sealant or remove the permanon
sealant > wax : normal la....but with permanon at the base....don't know
wax > LSD : you'd be in the clouds flying with the birds man....make love not war....HAHAHAHA.....

Well.. It's actually LSP (Last Step Product), whatever you choose to put as the last step of protection, could be sealant, could be wax, usually wax if you plan to top over a sealant.

Hm.. OK, although, personally, I don't really use much Instant Detailers except to maybe clean up bird poo before they dry up. Maybe I'm just lazy but I usually just coat on a sealant, and a layer of hard wax when I'm in the mood.

Never really experienced the Menz pads, but I think Meg's only have the Microfibre pads for the smaller sizes more suitable for DAs.

You'd need to do one portion with the permanon and another portion on it's own and see if there's any difference in durability (you can roughly judge this by beading or sheeting actions after a wash).

Why you keep talking about Menz pads ah? Can get them cheap ah? Anything below RM40 is worth a try. You try and let us know la....hehehe...

I don't use much of a quick detailer as well. Only for claying and 'emergency' *very* light cleaning. Spray sealants/waxes is different story though.

hello guys. i got this windscreen problem. there is one time i went to a workshop repairing my back bumper. while they were fixing it, another worker was applying and waxing another car. while he waxing it, the residue from the waxing flew onto my windscreen. its a very tiny dots, like the mist spray. at first i didn't even give a damn about it because i don't know the effect or what so ever and can be cleaned with just using water. after a day, the rain pour down and i turned on the wiper. There is a sandy-sound on the wind screen. after touching it, it felt rough because the wax residue is sticking on it. washing it few times does not get rid of it. i feel so stupid right now.

maybe one of your guys can help me how to get rid of it myself. Thank you.

Get/Borrow a clay bar/sponge/cloth to clean it off. Should be too hard if it's not too serious.

5 months old tongue.gif yeah.. i use my ULW on the wheels. have to do it regularly as my wheels cleaner will always remove any sealants.. grr.. maybe i should try Turtle Ice Wheel cleaner tongue.gif it claims to clean and add a protective barrier.. are you using 501 on it as well?
*
for wheels, id recommend specific wheel wax/sealant that can withstand high temperatures.

not sure about you, but i tried a bit of turtle wax hard shell paste wax on my rims, the wax got melted off in just 2-3 days LOL!
then again i brake like a retard sometimes rolleyes.gif

hmm.. from my noobie experience, if my rims are coated with ULW, the next wash, i just need to spray on my wheels cleaner and do not need to scrub.. the brake dust particles come off easily. if without wax, i need to scrub with a wheel brush.. sweat.gif

come we try the Ice Wheel Cleaner together gether.. biggrin.gif

@isaacjoe, yeah....try claying it. Most super/duper/hyper/etc. market got sell clay bar. Any brand would do since you're using it on glass. Remember to use some water as lube.

If that doesn't work, you can try alcohol, mineral spirit or lighter fluid with a cloth. These would 'melt' the wax so you would be left with some hazy looking surface so need wash with some soapy water afterwards.

eh there's a spray bottle? thought it's just a regular bottle with liquid, and you pour it on a cloth to apply lol

regardless i still use a normal glass cleaner to clean (atm using kura kura, cheap and cheerful lol), and then applying rain x on top of it biggrin.gif
