Dawn is a very strong cleaner for what it is (dish wash), I've left my detailing related stuff soaked in Sunlight dish wash in warm water overnight and so far so good.

Actually, DPD isn't really for dishes, it's for cleaning those crud & burns-on food on pots and pans. I also use it to clean my barbeque grille before....
Oh...another note. Do wear a protective glove if possible, especially if you have sensitive skin. This post has been edited by KrisMas: Sep 26 2013, 10:13 AM |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Sep 25 2013, 02:42 PM) thanks for the tip. I tried soaking in a dish washing liquid mix but even after half a day, i still need to squeeze the wax out. real PITA. Dont really see DPD in hypermarts but i think i did see it in Ace. need to check it out. Just curious what would happen if i soak longer than 2 hours? Try using soap bar and spread on the pad like butter on bread. Rinse well after that. Works better than dish washing liquid and works well for me, hehe. |

Shouldn't be a problem to have the paint corrected elsewhere then bring the car home and do the coating yourself, provided you give the car a good wash again and do an IPA wipedown for good measure.Btw, Goodwell Car Detailer's Studio , Street West Coast Customs ( SWCC ) ,Auto Lovers Malaysia ok? Mean after back to home just wash normal with plain water and let it dry. Later put coating on it? |

QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Oct 4 2013, 10:28 AM) It depends on how they "clean" your car after polish.Proper way is to use IPA, to clean all residue(polish liquid etc) from your car then only apply coat. Even if they do it, you can do it again though, just to be clean enough for the coating liquid to stick to your car paint nicely. Also a small suggestion, apply the coat properly as instruct, then you will get a nice coated car. Good Luck. Wash -> IPA wipe down -> Coat. |
