Got them from several sites including Autogeek. Got them all shipped to a forwarder in the US who then shipped them to me. will definitely post some impressions once I test out the stuff biggrin.gif
*
bro.. just curios about the forwarder. how much shipping did it cost you to ship all those stuff? was it worth it?

Depends on how you define alternative, exactly like Meg's bottle you shown, no ideas, but if standard sprayer like the OCW one(with "spray" and "stream" options), OSREN have them in a pack of 6 for RM24. I can spare you a unit if you don't need that much if you could come to Puchong though.

correction pens are only for clear coat fixes. ehehe.. for stone chips you probably need touch up paint like (exy touch up). there is a high possibility that the touch ups are noticeable. best is to respray and buy a clear bra smile.gif be-warned.. its not cheap.. biggrin.gif

my hood was just resprayed (after the genting accident) just few months ago lol
so not keen on getting it resprayed again

i don't mind it being noticeable, it'll still beat that black bare metal patch on my current hood

you can try this then:
http://www.ezytouchup.com/

but take note, i was told that it won't fill up the chip completely. you also need steady hands biggrin.gif good luck..

Haven't tried anything that's successful....so far 3' is the closest I can get away without noticing them, using paint specifically mixed to match by car paint supplier.....

haha no choice but to compromise lo... if you speed a lot stone chips tend to be your best friend and since my paint is not factory paint, 3rd party paints tend to get chipped off/damaged much easily since they aren't high temperature baked straight to the metal sad.gif

Greetings to all the shifus here notworthy.gif ...

Newbie here trying to learn detailing...

Been reading thru this thread V2 since yesterday... long way more to go as i'm still @ pages 24 haha.

Been talking to bro Quazacolt in PM, been grateful to him as he provides me with alot of basic informations and tips since i'm a newbie.

Some questions to ask here....if one could share his opinions or advices i would be really grateful rclxms.gif

1. I'm getting a new car or shifus here calling it a truck as it's a Toyota Hilux Vigo. Been reading to gain some basic knowledge to learn how to protect my new car. As i will be travelling to East Malaysia soon... will need to prepare all the tools and detailing products needed .

Wanted to ask for new car, i was planning to :-

WASH/DRY

Clay [Do i need to clay since it's a new car?]

Polish [Dont think i need to polish a new car unless there's scratches?]

Apply Permanon Sealant

then is it recommended if i topper my Permanon with Wax? [I was told not to from the official recommendation and instead use Optimum Instant Detailer]

and lastly doing regurlay wash at least 2 times a week to maintain the car.

Am i skipping any steps or doing any unncessary steps? hopefully shifus here can light me up. Cheers! thumbup.gif

I brought in a bunch of other stuff as well so shipping is around RM20 per pound for a 25 pound package. For a 50 pound package, it is about RM15 per pound. Sent by DHL so it's fast and they handled everything till my doorstep. Not exactly cheap but its reasonable to get some of the stuff that's not available locally.

Actually, I haven't been up to date with their offerings, but the last I checked, they have 3 kinds of sprayers, 1 is the generic ones that looked kinda like the OCW(or equivalent spray wax/detailer) sprayer, the chemical resistant, and the big foamer or something.

Sounds decent, shipped by DHL, I might have a list of books I'm sure couldn't be bought locally, maybe I consolidate and need your help on the forwarding services.
