I suppose a lot of people is worried about warranty issue but the fact is Nexus 7 carries international warranty and our Asus Malaysia SC do honor that warranty. Even those units that came through Newegg and another international channels

Exactly correct. My first set from Google USA n even rooted with CWM warranty process free with motherboard change. However tech eventually give me a new unit as replacement

For those who want to use the function "Tethering & personal Hotspot" on 4.2.2.can follow below steps:

a) download rootkit from this link http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
b) Follow instruction to root your Nexus
c) after rooting, download the tethering zip file from enable tethering zip
d) do not unzip it and just save it to your PC
e) Run rootkit
f) Click on "Launch" button under "Advance Utilities"
g) Another menu will appear, tick on "File from this computer" and click "Flash Zip" button
h) Select the zip file you downloaded just now and start flash.
i) wait and follow on screen instruction...
j) once your nexus reboot 2-3 times, you are done. Now you can see "tethering and personal hotspot" under Wireless and Network settings.

Enjoy!!

Disclaimer: Root at your own risk. The above is the steps I taken for tethering function of Nexus 7 and no further responsibility will be held by me if any damage caused to your device.

so i tried playing temple run 2 on ipad.
realize the graphics are better, more detail surroundings and got live shadow for the character.

i see on my phone and tablet. the character shadow is just a dull patch.
i thought the developer make shitty software for android, but when i check in the settings, i realize got graphic quality option. by default its medium. after set it to high, get the nice shadow effect and smooth detail like in ipad.

there is no performance drop when i play on my phone, sgs2.
but there is a significant lag and slow framerate when playing on nexus 7. using stock rom, stock kernel, no pirated apps.

do your nexus 7 suffers slow framerate when playing temple run 2 at high quality?

its strange cos its smoother when i play asphalt 6 compared to temple run 2.

Yup tested before and the result is the same. Btw if you realise Temple Run 2 on IOS doesn't have the settings for graphics. Which could mean they are confident that even the oldest IOS device won face lagginess running the game?

Or probably because temple run was released on the ios first, thus being "more" optimized for it. Probably android's version is just a port rolleyes.gif

Even if it is just a port, you notice when the game was first released on android. there are already extra handy feature available, compare to the game on IOS. IE. after death players can actually press the skip buttton instead of waiting for the save me bar to fill up .this feature was not available on IOS when the game was first launched.

it's obvious the iPad 2 and iPad mini uses better GPU than the Nexus 7, hence better graphic performance. Almost all of the reviews I've read, including benchmark test points towards this.

Even NFS Most wanted shows lagginess and slowdown on my nexus 7 previously.

On battery consumption of my Nexus 7C, is this normal?

My Nexus was charged for whole night till around 8am when I disconnect it from the charger. It has 100% charge status.

Subsequently I never use it....WIFI, 3G Cellular was not ON at all. By evening around 6pm, the battery is left with 88%.

Does the battery drop like that even without use? Is it due to Location services which is left ON?
