i remember i'm the one that make the list in my google docs, when i was TS for V2
i made a spreadsheet and set the permission to anyone can view and edit.
because adding one by one is too troublesome and time consuming.

when was the list deleted?
i check back my google docs, last person that edit was some one called "Ming Wei" on 12/14/12

now someone called Zed scofield just modified it.

the screw driver doesnt work. i tried it.
there's another method which is remove one of the screws.
doesnt work too.

the screen lift will always be there.
you can manually press it back in, but after some time it will slowly lift abit again.

my screen lift is roughly 1mm.
i dont really care it. it doesnt affect the touch screen, doesnt affect the color, doesnt make the tablet slower,hotter,cooler.

heck its barely even noticeable. so just use it as it is.
the only time i realize the lift is there is when i look in this thread, reminded me the lift is there,
take my tablet tilt to the side, squint my eyes to observe, then only i see the lift.

forget about this silly defect/imperfection or whatever it is.
its not fatal defect like speaker spoil, battery cant charge, wifi malfunction, screen flicker etc...

the 4.2.1 is to fix the missing december bug. it doesn't affect the performance, neither faster nor slower.

your slowdown might be due to other issues.

rumors said maybe announce in may, then maybe release in june for US, then maybe release in malaysia in august september or even later. you want to wait that long? laugh.gif

global announce and locally available is totally different story

No. It's too big, blocking my view.
I use it as aes detector though. Haha.
The big battery is awesome. Can tahan so long with gps on.

But if u insist install sygic. Offline gps.

what's going on?
screen suddenly turn on when tablet is in deepsleep?

wake lock is phone awake and never sleep after screen off and not using.
but now i'm having the opposite problem. screen awake when not using.

anyone else having this weird issue?

so i tried playing temple run 2 on ipad.
realize the graphics are better, more detail surroundings and got live shadow for the character.

i see on my phone and tablet. the character shadow is just a dull patch.
i thought the developer make shitty software for android, but when i check in the settings, i realize got graphic quality option. by default its medium. after set it to high, get the nice shadow effect and smooth detail like in ipad.

there is no performance drop when i play on my phone, sgs2.
but there is a significant lag and slow framerate when playing on nexus 7. using stock rom, stock kernel, no pirated apps.

do your nexus 7 suffers slow framerate when playing temple run 2 at high quality?

its strange cos its smoother when i play asphalt 6 compared to temple run 2.

Looking at ipad around me and back to Nexus 7.
The screen is really pale.

Is there any tweaks/mods to make the screen color more vibrant, increase the contrast settings or something similar?

Samsung touch wiz has this option in their tablets display settings.

I heard galaxy nexus also have some screen calibration root tweak related to Franco I think.

I rarely follow this thread. So lost touch with nexus 7 development. Do such screen calibration exist for nexus 7 now?

yes, its very useful.

been using it for a long long time.

set your own gestures. this is mine.

5 finger pinch = home
4 finger up = recent apps
4 finger left = next app
4 finger right = previous app
4 finger up = menu button
5 finger rotate = off screen
4 finger double tap top half of screen = scroll to top of page
4 finger double tap bottom half of screen = scroll to bottom of page

use AOKP rom, enable hide nav bar.
no need nav bar and can operate the tablet like a boss.

Furthermore the notifications bar is useful.

i'm using aokp, used it for quite some time already. no issues.

but i just realized i cant view photosphere anymore.
its very strange. is this a known issue?

how to solve? i flashed the latest gapps, march 2013 one.

yeah, solved the aokp rom cant view photo sphere in gallery.

for some strange reason the default gallery from aokp cant view.
need to flash modded 4.2 camera zip only can.

i thought i still cant view after flash the camera,
thats because after flashing that zip, it makes a new gallery app.
the one i have in my home screen in the old one. i keep using the one at the home screen, just realize there's 2 gallery.

so disable the old one and using the new one now, able to view photo sphere just fine

for a tablet, really dont need those jumbo mumbo extra features.

i used stock for quite a long time,
but eventually go to custom rom also.

i dont fully utilize all the custom rom features,
but just like to hide/unhide the navigation bar at the bottom,
in landscape mode, it occupies too much space.

I don't really get what you're trying to say.

All I get in your original post was you have issue reading Chinese character during file transfer.
I have this issue when using file manages.

I tried some and realize es file manager can copy paste Chinese files name.
So I use it as main one. It can also view image with its default viewer. Not bad.

File manager hd, if copy Chinese file, it will rename to ??, annoying bug.

that's because you're connected to the wifi.

even commercial standalone gps dont work indoors.
