Hi kenlui, thanks for your response! I'm getting the 2012 manufacture - where do I check the chassis no.? I read earlier the 16xxx chassis needs to reflash? Am I right?

Is it possible to know what month the Preve was manufactured in? If yes, how?

Also, if it does need to reflash, any SC that does it in kota damansara area? If not, what's the nearest/best place to do it? Im browsing the service centre's on proton's website... hope I wont need to call every one and ask if they provide reflash... hahah

go set appointment to see ur SA again, go look at the showroom unit.
open driver side door, got a metal plate on door frame with chasis & engine no.
take picture. if SA ask why, say u want to make sure u not getting that unit.

Yesterday went to Seremban SC (otw to Mantin road) for my 1000km Service. I have been attended by En Helmi. My car is PREVE EXECUTIVE variant. So here is a list of things i've said to him for my 1st Service:

1) Left side aircond vent not properly installed - FIXED

2) CD stuck and USB cannot detect - FIXED (applied some CD liquid and reflashed the HU software)

3) Alignment - NOT FIXED (they don't have the equipment but if you do the alignment outside it WILL NOT VOID your warranty, if you change the RIM to bigger size it WILL VOID your warranty on the suspension system and parts)

4) Exhaust hook rust - FIXED (applied anti rust)

5) Spare key not activated - ACTIVATED

6) Cold Start and Engine Stalled when in Reverse mode -

According to En Helmi, SO FAR only the PREVE PREMIUM CFE variant has been officially issued with the ECU & TCU reflash official software. I asked him whether the Preve Exec variant will get the updated software? He said YES and maybe around January or February next year. According to him, Preve Exec is the best selling model for Preve so they need a large number of test cars serviced at Proton SC around Malaysia to diagnose the CVT transmission and Campro IAFM+ and send the report to Proton HQ. Once done they will come out with the best suited ECU & TCU software for Preve Exec. He also said that the diagnosis also will be good for the near future proton models (*hint* Preve hatchback).

As such, unsatisfied with his elaborated answer, how SC will fix Boxer (that's my black Preve Exec name)? He said what they'll do for temporary solution is to re-tune my engine and re-calibrate the CVT transmission. The result, my Preve Exec has better pick up at traffic light duels with Myvi. But unfortunately, the RPM rev is higher and affect my FC. Damn it..! But wow, my car feels lighter. AGAIN i have to mention here because i know a lot of P1 bashers and VIOS, MyVi lagi Best fanboys here, DO NOT COMPARE the pick up with the CFE variant. CFE is way more powerful !!!

So the conclusion: TEMPORARILY FIXED

Hi guys, don't know if any of you still remember or not but I got good news !! ; The Proton Prevé Wikipedia page looks damn chun now.  It used to be like this. Today, thanks to help from various PREVOC members, it looks much better.

u might want to use scratch remover. i've used Turtle wax scratch remover.
