I think he's saying that those with salary >3k cannot claim for OT.
WHen i was in huawei last time, only the admin staffs can claim for OT. Even if you're an engineer and your salary is below 3k, you can't claim for OT.
From what I heard from my ex-colleagues, HW is paying about 2.7-2.8k for fresh grad, and once you're confirmed, you get another RM500 for local allowances (HP+transport). Probation is 3 months.

I don't think they'll pay OT for engineers. Most companies don't. RM2.7K-2.8K is for MRO and AP?

I heard that Huawei only hires people who ..... -,- .. knows mandarin .. lol ..
a fellow colleague of mine tried applying and .. the first thing he gets is a short phone interview in Mandarin .. Rumours has it that since it's in mandarin, you'll be cut off if you do not understand the conversation throughout the interview ..
How true is this ? ..

Yeah of course u must know mandarin as you will work with a lot of china guy, they all communicate with mandarin. I used to get interview and the interview process is in Mandarin. Only the last interview will be in English by the department director. I think you got no chance at all if you do not know mandarin. Sorry~

But marketing dept usually gets higher than TSD. Added on June 14, 2007, 10:07 pmQUOTE(David83 @ Jun 14 2007, 09:28 PM) Documents also in Chinese. Not all documents in chinese la...they are having more and more english documents compared to last time.. but one thing for sure...those more advanced documents are certainly in chinese because they dont have time to translate it.. those in english are those general/common documents. Daily allowance is USD40 only...not USD50. Yea it's apart from the basic, else nobody would want to travel overseas. Even though I would say USD40 is not that much compared to other MNCs. And yeah, Saturdays and Sundays you are also entitled for it.
Normally newly released documents will be in chinese. They'll take some time to translate them. It wouldn't take too long tho.
I've seen indians and malays working there. You can give it a shot. Who knows you might pick up a new language as time goes.
Have not encountered any internship students till now. Maybe there are, not so sure.
