Huawei is a new player in telecommunication industry, Famous with switches and router (used to be Cisco manufacturer). Office located in Petronas twin tower.
I went for the interview before as a provisioning and deployment engineer, successfully employed but turn down the offer due to relocation in Brunei. Their project mainly based in developing countries such as Indonesia, India, Myanmar, and UAE.
They prefer experience worker and willing to travel and relocation. Benefit wise, can't compare to other telco vendors such as Siemens, Ericsson, or Motorola. Labor turnover sure high as people switch to Cisco, Siemens, Ericsson, Motorola, or Operator such as TIME, MAXIS,Digi, Celcom.
For technical position, they only interested in E&E engineering, multimedia computing, and telecommunication engineering.Interview came with very technical test such as OSI layer, TCP/IP, IP calculation, and essay question.

QUOTE(dy17 @ May 22 2006, 07:24 AM) What's the requirement for joining this Company? Fresh Grad without working experience can? What's the field? Engineer, IT or Management? If you are applying engineer position, they prefer E&E engineering, Multimedia Computing and also telecommunication engineering field. Or you need to have very strong experience in telecommunication field, either vendors or operators. Recently I have one colleague working as technician in Maxis switch to Huawei become support engineer getting around RM 2800 only.

QUOTE(jojoko1982 @ May 31 2006, 06:20 PM) how to apply the Fresh Graduate Program? dint see got advertisement oso.. Fresh Graduate Program unless u are very execellent, MAXIS do hire fresh grad depends on position and ur academic qualification. I myself is the best example, and i've seen fresh grad joining also But is really tough to get employed by them as average position applied in jobstreet is more then 400 application. No harm trying and may the lucky fairy with u..

QUOTE(WinDs @ Jun 12 2006, 02:53 PM) So in the end of the day, what would you like to gain from all these experiences ? Definitely, there is a reason for you to try up all the related positions, right ? I can say my 1st job was accepted because not much choices ava that time. just simply accept the position. hehe.. sorry to say so la.. 2nd job was because is related to telecomm industry and obviously MAXIS is a well known cooporate in malaysia. I'm very comfortable with both jobs and as i know u need to move from 1 place to another in order to gain more experiences.. joining vendors will be very challenging as my previous and current job is on operator side..

QUOTE(stevie-g @ Jun 15 2006, 10:50 AM) any1 get the offer from Hua Wei after 2 weeks? I reckon chances very slim and u better prepare for the worst and u can also try other company. there is alot of other related company in the markets. i think if u are fresh grad and if u join huawei, u will find urself very hard to adopt their enviroment. Try some local or smaller scale company, chances might be higher. bare in mind, there is no 100% success's interview..
