QUOTE(spie @ May 18 2007, 02:00 PM) The technical test was quite hard. Interviewers are friendly, and they threw in a surprise for me QUOTE(David83 @ May 19 2007, 09:12 AM) My friend just accepted an offer from Huawei. He said that the interview is easy; at least easier than the one he took at Panasonic. It depends, I've worked for Pana and I think their interview is fairly easy. I think it boils down to what skills/knowledge that you have. |

QUOTE(spie @ May 28 2007, 02:54 PM) If you really decided to leave for H*****, be prepared for the hectic and busy working life. Be prepared to sacrifices the 2 hours Friday lunch break, and countless tea breaks at cafeteria; replacing with OT till late at night and plenty of datelines to rush. You still remember where am I working If you are planed for that dramatic changes, H***** is the place to join and goodluck. I've prepared myself. I know the working culture in Huawei. I don't fancy the 2 hour Friday lunch break and I seldom go for evening tea break. |

QUOTE(b|ue @ May 30 2007, 02:28 PM) Be prepared for the extremely short notice of oversea trips, many possible changes from the notice till your flight day, indefinite return date, long trip durations etc. Also, the not-so-good accomodations, lower than average allowances and the cinapek working environment. I was told that the allowance for oversea's travel will be USD40/day.Also make sure you are able to deal with the relationship problems that will arise (if you have a gf), the whitening and losing of hair due to the insane stress level and much more...heh Tho you can't deny that you will learn so much in very short time, and also the attractive paycheck for the prices (health, relationship and so forth) you pay. How come when Huawei is mentioned, everyone will think about travelling. How about those working in MRO? |

QUOTE(schizophreak @ Jun 14 2007, 11:08 AM) I think he's saying that those with salary >3k cannot claim for OT. I don't think they'll pay OT for engineers. Most companies don't.WHen i was in huawei last time, only the admin staffs can claim for OT. Even if you're an engineer and your salary is below 3k, you can't claim for OT. From what I heard from my ex-colleagues, HW is paying about 2.7-2.8k for fresh grad, and once you're confirmed, you get another RM500 for local allowances (HP+transport). Probation is 3 months. RM2.7K-2.8K is for MRO and AP? |

QUOTE(b|ue @ Jun 21 2007, 02:41 AM) Daily allowance is USD40 only...not USD50. Yea it's apart from the basic, else nobody would want to travel overseas. Even though I would say USD40 is not that much compared to other MNCs. And yeah, Saturdays and Sundays you are also entitled for it. hmmm.......... how come HR told me USD50....................Normally newly released documents will be in chinese. They'll take some time to translate them. It wouldn't take too long tho. I've seen indians and malays working there. You can give it a shot. Who knows you might pick up a new language as time goes. Have not encountered any internship students till now. Maybe there are, not so sure. |
