gkl83: same here, I'd got a call from Huawei for the same position, if i'm not mistaken....were u previously working with teledynamic? Do you mind sharing your thoughts about this job? I'm in telco industry and I'm dealing with chinese vendors a lot, I totally know how the work of this position is going to be......the customer will throw all the toughest jobs that even themselves couldn't handle to the vendors to settle the mess.....

I dont think that is a problem. My chinese speaking is way basic with mix of english and cantonese, with 0% chinese reading ability, Huawei still consider my application. Surviving i am not sure, i just gone through the department interviews but i think surviving is not a problem as i can see some other races are also working with huawei and some are with no chinese background. BTW, what position did you apply too?

i'm actually a soon-to-be fresh grad with a telco degree from a local uni. just going through my future career options. trying to get some perspective. it's good to know that i'll be consider. i happened to find out that certain companies would prefer male engineers than female, which is kind of devastating for me (hint).haha.

so how was the interview process? did they give u a hard time on those technical questions?

why do u think i worked with teledynamic before?
you going for the interview too?

i'm also in telco too but wired + wireless product...
but my wireless products no related with GSM, LTE, network backhaul or whatever related with data connection...

anyway, the requirements of this position are welcomed fresh graduated or with 1 year experiences...
but mine is 5 years working experiences in technical and management...
doubt that why they think i'm suitable for this position even though no submitted my CV to them before... sweat.gif
so i totally no idea about the job scope of this position... sweat.gif
maybe they have other arrangement for me since i got 5 years working experiences...

anyway, i'm prepared for interview as i need new job to sharpen my technical skill smile.gif

Not really. is totally depending on the people who interview you. For me, just question about myself and some on what do i prefer to do and what do i know about the position i was offered too. As a fresh grad, the interviewer doesnt really expect much from me...was more to how i communicate with them. Importantly, look confidence on how you answer and what you answering, even on something you dunno...firmly and confidently tell them how you gonna cope up with the knowledge, crapping with confidence is important..LOL.

same here, I didnt submit my resume as well.....I'm having about 2years of experience in transmission project management and implementation, but since the job requirements consider even a fresh graduate....and they're rushing u for interview..i doubt it'll be a good position. I didn't reply to huawei....perhaps I should wait for u to attend the interview first and share to us? tongue.gif rclxms.gif when is your interview?

Huawei currently having quite a number of projects overseas and short of staffs to support these projects. That could answer why they aggressively hiring for ppl now. its a good place to learn when there's a lot of projects in hand.

13 months salary, performance bonuses, alot of travelling opportunities. But, be prepared to work like cow and ready to serve 24/7.

PS: They are damn short of man power, you have the bargaining ground.

i dont mind work like cow and serve 24X7...
bcos what is doing now also work like shit and standby support for my customers... tongue.gif

but i will request for full time rather than contract bcos i cant afford for losing job suddenly...
perhaps i can add-on my "value" with bond contract to work with HW for 1-2 years as i understood train new staffs wasn't that easy too...

Hi guys, any Malaysian here work for Huawei but based overseas like in China, Argentina, Mauritius, etc as expat?

If yes, I would like to know should we purchased the air ticket 1st and the amount will be reimburse back later in the salary?

Another question will be, when you are out of the country where you are based in or back in Malaysia for holidays, do they pay you the daily allowance?

Hope to hear from either 1 or 2 expat working for Huawei for guidelines and feedbacks. Thanks!

just have a quick interview with PIC...

the PIC just to understand what are my capabilities only as this is technical interview only...
felt that i just have 50-50 only... tongue.gif

anyway, anyone in Huawei converted his employment term from contract term to permanent term?
bcos i asked PIC about the possibility of permanent term and he said that it is possible, but sound like a bit fishy...

u should tell the caller drop u an email instead...

i also received call from Huawei previous, but the audio quality quite poor due to VOIP and unclear conversation...
i requested the caller drop me an email instead for further information...

did they send email to you after the call?
perhaps u should request for email in polite ways rather than u say u r bz...

i got the email once after my call as i request emailing in polite way (excuses such as poor VOIP audio quality, bad hand phone coverage, etc) and i showing my interest on that offered position while during the conversation...
